"Just an amazing and well equipped cabin with a beautiful view of the ocean. We had the use of a car which was very useful for going to town. Bill was very helpful and welcoming. Highly recommend!"

"Great host who picked us up at the ferry terminal and provided a driving tour of the village and surrounding area upon our arrival. Comfortable cabin/cottage with a view (albeit a bit obstructed) of the bay. Courtesy car provided for our exclusive use so we didn't have to rent one, which we would have had to because the location of the property is 2 km away from the village. In a forest/jungle setting away from the hustle and bustle of the village."

"The location was a treat - you look off your porch into the forest - and the cabins were great. You are outside of town, but each guest cabin has a car available for their use (small extra charge for the days you use it) The kitchenette worked well for modest meals (lunch sandwiches, pasta dinner) Bill met us at the ferry, gave us a brief tour and time for a grocery stop. Good hiking advice too! Stewart Island is special and Anchorstone is lovely."
"Despite wandering in my pajamas, with binoculars and a red covered flashlight, the kiwi birds did not come wander across my path. We should've booked a kiwi-spotting tour!"
"The view from our cabin was absolutely beautiful of the beach. The host picked us up from the ferry and gave us a tour of the town which was very helpful in planning all of our activities. He also gave us great information on the history of the island. The setting was peaceful and lovely and the hosts were so gracious. We would definitely come back. If you can stay here... do!"

"Owners were super lovely and helped return an item I left on the island asap! They picked us up from the ferry and had a courtesy car we could hire during our stay which was invaluable. Cabins are fairly close to each other but private enough we could enjoy our stay. Had washer and dryer available if needed."

"Views to die for! Loved, loved, loved this cottage which was adjoined to, but separate, from the main hosts house - an arrangement we prefer for privacy. This is a very comfortable cottage which has been nicely furnished to welcome guests. The linen and towels are luxurious. Parking is outside the door which opens to the bathroom, toilet and small but most adequate kitchenette. From here you descent 4 steps to the bedroom and lounge area and two balconies. This lovely, comfortable property would be suited for short and long term visits and the hosts Jane and Mike are warm and welcoming. This top rated property was an absolute pleasure to stay in - thank you so much."
