"Owner and staff were super friendly, really helpful and chatty! Beds were amongst the most comfortable we had on our trip. Rooms were very big and had a homely atmosphere. Fantastic view over town! Bathroom a bit small, but shower was good."

"The disadvantage of having a great view is that there is an uphill climb at the end of a long day... but I'd say that overall it was worth this extra effort."

"Friendly attentive owner makes you feel welcomed. Interesting house, over 100 years old. Great views of the town and shoreline. The Bessie Clark room has it's own sunroom with a lovely view. Free parking and breakfast of cereals, toast with jams and spreads, yogurt, fruit juice, fresh coffee and tea. Oatmilk available. Short walk into town center. If you are there to see little blue penguins, it's a 20 minute walk or 5 minute drive. Clean. Bed comfortable and warm."

"I particularly liked the sense of history that the house exuded - built through the years that my great uncles and second great grandfather were alive, and it housed many old knick knacks that I remember in my own grandparent's house. I was down to explore the local area with this history in mind, so it was good to receive hospitality in such a place. I had everything in my room to prepare a simple healthy tea, and to have an ensuite, although tiny, fulfilled it's purpose perfectly. I loved the views of the fishing boats and the ocean - very restful and soothing with a brilliant sunset."
