"The location was breathtaking, albeit too far from the airport, which is where we came from. Klaus was super hospitable with explanations, showing around, offering a ride to the nearby supermarket, making a wonderful breakfast, and making our stay feel as comfortable as possible. He gave good tips about the area and in general, and was overall a wonderful host."

"I recall the webpage mentioning a shuttle, which was the deciding factor for us to choose this place. It might have been a glitch or mistake, but there's no shuttle offered for this place."

"Outstanding breakfast!! Very comfortable enclosed patio/aborium. Welcoming hot tea and drinks after a very long day. Ambient music and candles. Very inviting and special. Perfect for a much needed wind-down! Excellent location. Fernglen Reserve is a “must see” within very short walking distance for perfect stroll and information on local plant habitat."

Vera and Klaus are such welcoming hosts, they went above and beyond to make sure I had everything I needed to be comfortable and to make my stay in Auckland memorable. They even helped me with transportation and logistics each day. Their beautiful home is a very special place!"

"I found my room a bit hot. It faces west and even with the window wide open, it did not cool down until the sun went down. It might be different on a windy day. During my stay, there was little wind."

"Vera and Klaus were so welcoming and thoughtful. They made us feel right at home. The highlight was definitely the home-cooked breakfast spread and each morning. We felt very spoilt. The B&B was charmingly decorated and clean. Highly recommend!"

"Everything was amazing. Klaus was lovely and very accommodating. We weren’t at the house much as we were in Auckland for a concert, but he made sure we knew where everything was and that we were comfortable. The home was beautiful, and the view was absolutely stunning."

"Only downside was being too rushed to enjoy breakfast — and the walk up the hill after a night out in heels was definitely a workout 😂"
