Rataview Cottage and Rata Cottage are situated on the edge of the stunning Paparoa National Park on the South Island's West Coast. Rataview has full 180 degree horizon of the magnificant coastline and Rata Cottage has partial views from the dining area. The deck at Rataview allows you to relish watching the lovely West Coast sunsets. Both units have full kitchen and bathroom facilities, free-to-air channels and mobile access. The property is anchored near Barrytown, only 12 minutes' drive to the famous Pancake Rocks at Punakaiki and the nearest Cafe - Pancake Rocks Cafe. Greymouth and the closest shops are 16 mi to the South.

"Barrytown coastal route 6 is phenomenal!! Awesome views, comfy cabin. We had Netflix one night. Close to Pancake Rocks, Conservation Visitor Center, both where awesome. Pancake Cafe had great food!! We loved our stay."
"Unfortunately Rata Cottage, it rained hard the second night. I love the rain, but it knocked out Netflix (cable service). Bummer, but we tried talking to the property manager. She didn't come out to fix it. Poor Chris volunteered to assist, he was renting in RataView where the router/modem is kept. Anyway, we tried."

"Views to die for! Loved, loved, loved this cottage which was adjoined to, but separate, from the main hosts house - an arrangement we prefer for privacy. This is a very comfortable cottage which has been nicely furnished to welcome guests. The linen and towels are luxurious. Parking is outside the door which opens to the bathroom, toilet and small but most adequate kitchenette. From here you descent 4 steps to the bedroom and lounge area and two balconies. This lovely, comfortable property would be suited for short and long term visits and the hosts Jane and Mike are warm and welcoming. This top rated property was an absolute pleasure to stay in - thank you so much."
