"Friendly host and large, comfortable room including seating areas. The bath was large, too. Bedding was great. We would have been comfortable staying for a few days had we needed to, though we only needed to stay one."
"Really the only issue I think we had was wifi. It may have been a temporary issue, but it lost internet a few times and didn't seem particularly fast (but the speed may have been related to connectivity issues)."

"During a big road trip around New Zealand we returned to the Teviot View two bedroom apartment for our last two nights as we had already stayed here and knew how lovely it is. This apartment was the best yet, we had plenty of room and there’s also a sofa bed in the living area if you need extra space. The owners are so friendly and welcoming it really felt like a home from home to us. There is a good kitchen area which we didn’t really have time to make use of, and room to sit and eat either inside or outside. We stayed here as it’s close to relatives but it’s handy for Christchurch too. There are shops, takeaways and restaurants within easy walking distance, and if you follow the road you get to Amberley Beach. The apartment is on a small site with just a couple of other apartments so there’s no noise. We had a lovely visit and I highly recommend staying here."

"Lovely accommodation with all amenities available. Stopped en route south - really easy to get to as just off main highway. Didn’t see much of the area but supermarket and take aways 5 minute walk away. Very quiet."

"Views to die for! Loved, loved, loved this cottage which was adjoined to, but separate, from the main hosts house - an arrangement we prefer for privacy. This is a very comfortable cottage which has been nicely furnished to welcome guests. The linen and towels are luxurious. Parking is outside the door which opens to the bathroom, toilet and small but most adequate kitchenette. From here you descent 4 steps to the bedroom and lounge area and two balconies. This lovely, comfortable property would be suited for short and long term visits and the hosts Jane and Mike are warm and welcoming. This top rated property was an absolute pleasure to stay in - thank you so much."

"We appreciated this very cute little cottage. Obviously a labor of love for the owners who have tried to maintain the nostalgic history of the home. We found it to be quite comfortable overall and convenient to walk to restaurants etc down the esplanade. We had a small issue with a smoke detector battery and the owner quickly responded to resolve the problem. We really appreciated the welcome gift of wine and cheese. Very thoughtful after a long drive. Wonderful little courtyard and access to laundry. Very well equipped overall for cooking in."
