"We had a wonderful time at the guesthouse. The traditional house is located right at the entrance to the old part of town. Our room was small, but perfectly adequate for the three days we spent there. The shared terrace offers a fantastic view of the oasis. Breakfast and dinner are also served there together. Vegetarian options were always available (vegan is also possible. The breakfast might be a bit limited). Ahmed was a fantastic host, with lots of helpful tips for hikes in the area. We can also highly recommend visiting his farm. If we're ever in the area again, we'll definitely come back!"

"The whole experience was really awesome, our host Ahmed, was of an amazing help. He took care of us and led us around. He took us on a morning hike to the farms and was so patient and informative to us. Also his honeyshop had so many omani and home made things kept on buying cus even the honey tasting was soo good. The accommodation was homey and comfortable, also great food that was on time and homemade, it made everything just more lovely. I would totally recommend this guest house if you are looking for something traditional and more integrated into the culture of the place. Ahmed would guide and recommend the best places to enjoy and explore. Overall me and my family had really enjoyable trip and we are looking forward to repeating it on winter too."

"The location of this place is amazing! In the town of Misfah, it is close to Jebel Shams and Nizwa, while still giving you a small town feel with beautiful views of the surrounding mountains from the balcony. Ahmed and Ali run this bed and breakfast which feels very familiar and cozy. They provide home cooked meals and are always on call to help out. The rooms are simple and comfortable. If you want a more personal place with great food and chats then this is the spot for you! Also Ahmed has a farm and small beekeeping operation you can visit"

"I had a great stay at Basmat almisfah. The owners are two brothers and their sister is the chef who cooks breakfast and dinner. I loved supporting locals who have been in the town for generations. The room itself was comfortable and spacious. The breakfast and dinner (included in the price) was filling and tasty. The view from the terrace is just spectacular. I decided to do a tour with one of the owners, Ali, who is just amazing. He walked me through the town first and then showed me his family garden, as it was an agriculture tour. I learned so much about the town's history and the family. Highly recommend staying here. Location is also perfect, as it's right be the public parking spots."

"The owner, Ahmed, was friendly and very helpful. He explained to us the options for hiking around the village and gave us good tips for the rest of our trip. The dinner and breakfast were very good, and the balcony had a great view. Overall, the staff were very kind and welcoming and we enjoyed our stay."
