Nomadic Desert Camp

"The location is beautiful, about 35 minutes off the main road in the middle of picturesque desert dunes. The hosts (Rashad, Abdullah and Hamed) were informative, attentive, funny and kind. They created opportunities to explore the dunes, particularly at sunrise and sunset, and took me out for other activities I requested (including Friday camel races). The food was outstanding (the chef, Jared, cooked some of the best Omani dishes I had on my three-week visit across the country). Highly recommend."

"The owners of the camp are some of the nicest, most genuine people you will meet in Oman. They are real Bedouin family and interact with the guests daily to ensure you have a good time. They made me feel so comfortable as a solo female traveler."

"The camp is located not too close from the nearest village, offering an immersive desert experience. The tents are spacious, clean and nicely decorated and so is the dining area. The staff is helpful, kind and efficient and agreeing pick up was really easy. The buffet was generous with a good and tasty selection of food. The camp offers activities like camel riding and dune safari. We enjoyed both very much. The greatest plus of this camp is that, compared to other structures who might have more of a hotel feel, gives the travellers a authentic and close to nature experience. We would go back and we will recommend it to family and friends."

"The only thing we would have appreciated during our activities is to receive more information regarding the desert and the bedouin life, we found that was a missed opportunity. Other than that it's a 10/10"

"Fantastic, authentic-feeling property. If you want a tranquil night or two this is the place to come, away from those who cannot go without excessive tourist infrastructure. Spacious rooms, comfortable beds and plenty of sheets/blankets to keep warm at night. Delicious cooked dinner and breakfast exceeds expectations given the remoteness. A short 5 minute wander from the camp and you’ll feel like you have the entire sands to yourself. The staff are very attentive and friendly, happy to chat as long as you are."

"My only tiny nitpick would be that when choosing a twin bed arrangement the beds still have to be placed pretty close together in order for the singular mosquito net to cover both people - could be a minor bit of discomfort for some."
