"I was there during the rainy season. I arrived with the night bus very early in the morning and the owner allowed me to check in early and have breakfast with no extra cost. Very helpful with hikes, both through the hostel and on my own with colectivo. Liked the curtain privacy in the dormitory bed, and it was comfy. Shower was nice and warm."

"Comfy bed, super hot shower, usb sockets on top of regular ones. What else could you want? The owner also recommended and booked tours for me. Kitchen was nice and I was able to keep some leftover takeaway and reheat it the next day."

"The room is a bit unmaintained, mine had broken mirror. Also on the tour front I didn't realize it but I had to pay both for transportation and guide, but in my case the guide didn't know a single word of English so there was not much guiding. They should make people aware of that."

"Overall I enjoyed my stay at Krusty! The breakfast is good and the dorms have curtains. It’s easy to book tours and the return time for laundry is great. They don’t give you a lot of information up front but are kind when you ask. Would stay again!"

"I didn’t like that the staff didn’t give a lot of information at the beginning. The dorms are also on the 4th floor so it’s tiring to make it up there. There is also only 1 bathroom for the 12 person dorm which can be tough. Also the toilet paper wasn’t always filled."

"Great place to stay when visiting Huaraz. Conveniently located near the centre of town. Ivan and Mari made me feel very welcome and offered great advice on trips etc. booked all my trips here as they seemed to have the best prices. Clean and very comfortable. I stayed in a private suite with lovely hot shower. Would definitely stay here again - great place!"

"It's in a quiet part of town but not too far from anything."

"The bathroom and shower were not very clean. I would not recommend their trekking company which is located in the hostel. We had a trekker experience extreme altitude sickness every day on the Huayhuash trek and the man needed to be evacuated. But, there was not an evacuation plan and he was unconscious one morning and couldn't be put on a horse which was the only plan they had. We the clients carried the man seven miles to the next village as there was not a rescue team available in Peru."
