Guest reviews for Baia da Barca
"The location and building was picturesque. The unit was very nice. Beautiful. Housekeeping was very clean. Very! I would definitely stay there again. Close to down town, airport, Pico Mountain, and other great restaurants and town. Easy parking. Coastal living."
"Beds were hard Laundry was very expensive - and cash only - required exact cash (no change)"
"Loved the location, views and the design of the property! In our opinion, we were given the best room(2). The staff were awesome, especially Ana & Sandy, but everyone we encountered was warm and friendly. Really appreciated their restaurant recommendations too. Don’t miss tapas at O Pestica or lunch with a marvelous view at Mar Sushi Terrace. Kitchen was well stocked, clean and user friendly."
"King bed had an uncomfortable ridge in the middle, mattress was a bit too firm for my preference. (I was also hoping for laundry facilities on site, but none exist)"
"Beautiful property that balances the modern with the traditional. Nestled in nature while preserving its raw beauty."

"The location is perfect as right near town and able to get to the main roads very easily. Parking was convenient and right near the hotel. We were able to check in early which was incredibly appreciated after a very early morning flight. Definitely take time to explore the private rocky beach that is accessible near the pool."
"There is no more breakfast being offered, which is a change from the listing. The outside of the facility was very well maintained, but there could have been a bit more information provided about the island as well as potential listing of food options on the island."
"The apartment hotel was spacious and had amazing ocean views. I would recommend requesting an apartment on the second floor, for example Apt #2. Baia da Barca is located on the outskirts of Madelena, walking distance into town and the ferry terminal. The staff were friendly and helpful."

"Location was great and within walking distant to Madalena. It was also within walking distant to swimming pools. Staff was friendly and very helpful."

"Right on the ocean, beautiful space close enough to walk to town and the ferry."
"Nothing. So beautiful"
"The Property was stunning, and the service was genuine and incredible! Sandy was very helpful, warm, attentive, and responsive. I would happily recommend this location to anyone."
"My one bit of feedback : invest in more comfortable beds! The bed was one of the most uncomfortable beds I’ve slept in for quite a while, and I’ve slept in several beds! The springs were awful and putting two si tbh le beds together to make a king size is noticeable and not desirable."
"The location was incredible with beautiful views. The apartment was perfect and the staff very kind and friendly."

"We were on the Fishermen's trail and only stayed one night and did not really use all the amenities. It's a lovely place and I can highly recommend it. Lovely staff. They also gave us a room upgrade with an amazing view."

"Very nice place. Very quiet, in the middle of horses. It was so nice to sit on the veranda and soak in the atmosphere. The veranda is also very nicely sheltered from the wind."

"Beautiful property just outside of town. Secure parking for motorcycle travel. Town has plenty of public parking if you don't mind being 2km from center. Unit was vary nice with seperate sitting area, kitchen, outside veranda overlooking garden. Bedroom upstairs in loft area. Only thing I didn't understand was a sign at tge kitchen sink saying not to put water in glass. Maybe water is not safe to drink?"

"super nice hosts, who drove us into town. possibility of hanging out in the main building - with a reading corner and a bar - in the evening, which was very cozy. comfortable bed, hot showers, good breakfast."

"Cosy room.in a traditional old farm building. The table by the swimming pool had a fabulous vista down the valley to Vizela and beyond; perfect for watching the sunset directly ahead whilst bats fly around and sipping the delicious wine made by the family. We regret not bringing some home! The owner went the extra mile for us, for example taking our laundry and ironing even in the middle of a heatwave"

"We did the Camino and it was right on the Camino trail. Payment is via cash only. The rooms are small but adequate for just one night. Nice place as it has its own vineyard. The caretaker is also very friendly. They provide a pilgrim dinner for 16 euro but we did not do that as we do not eat a heavy dinner. It did look good though."
"This place is so charming and having a kitchen and fireplace made it very nice."
