Guest reviews for Caravela
"Perfect location in the heart of the old town. Great value for your money. Very good pillows."
"If you are all light sleeper you'd better use earplugs: in your room you hear every single sound in the hallway. All the door hinges squeek and need oiling. The hotel advertised availability of tea and coffee but only mint tea was provided."
"Very friendly and helpful staff, the bedroom and bathroom were very cleaned. The location is superb, right in the middle of everything you need, restaurants, cafes, little food market, stores....etc."
"The kitchen was very small but decent cleaned. However, I only stayed one night, I didn't have to use it."
"the location was amazing and we had a shower in our room, staff is really friendly we loved it"
"it might be a bit loud at night since its super central, but we had no problem with it"
"Staff let us leave our bags before/after checkout, the room had an amazing location and the balcony was great to view the old town while staying out of the sun. Shared bathroom was a bit tired but it was clean and functional, and I never had to wait long to use it. Sink in the room was a bonus."
"Aucun."
"The location is great as it’s in the centre of town"
"If your room is facing the Main Street then be prepared for a lot of noise from the party people walking home. As there’s no AC, we had to have the windows open and thus no sleep. Kitchen is quite lacking as there’s no access to a sink for water (they do offer a jug of tap water) and lack of tables to eat"
"Killer location, quiet despite being on main tourist street, clean and with considerate staff."
"Carpet makes me uneasy. Some wear and tear. Bed was slightly too short for me at full length."
"Very central with main shopping street and plenty of restaurants and bars just seconds away! Staff were very helpful (Patricia) when l explained about my concern for noise outside at night and said if l didn’t sleep well, she would refund remaining nights. This wasn’t necessary!"
"This is what it is - it’s NOT a hotel, it’s NOT a hostel! It’s an old building with its own charm. Baths are painted as enamel has probably rusted, each room comes with a small sit down shower and sink. And that is adequate for the price you are paying. Patricia will ALWAYS help, so ASK if you have a problem eg. Second set of keys? Of course! There were mosquitoes, so come prepared!"
"Location is prime. Very close to the beach on foot and 10-15 minutes walk from the bus station. The room was simple but comfortable enough. For 25€ a night it would be very hard to beat!"

"It's a great location just in the center of the old town. It's very convenient to go to the visit points by walk."
"The hotel is easy for a visit to go around. And the room rate is reasonable to accept."
"Right in the center of everything, beautiful rooftop terrace"

Christiane Sol Dourado
"Very nice place. Very quiet, in the middle of horses. It was so nice to sit on the veranda and soak in the atmosphere. The veranda is also very nicely sheltered from the wind."
Therese SeteQuintas
"Cosy room.in a traditional old farm building. The table by the swimming pool had a fabulous vista down the valley to Vizela and beyond; perfect for watching the sunset directly ahead whilst bats fly around and sipping the delicious wine made by the family. We regret not bringing some home! The owner went the extra mile for us, for example taking our laundry and ironing even in the middle of a heatwave"
Graham Quinta Da Longra
"This place is so charming and having a kitchen and fireplace made it very nice."

"The hosts were great. A family-run guest house, good value for money and a great way to experience the local culture. The nearby restaurant they recommended was a real gem."
