Guest reviews for Casa da Eira
"We had the whole house to ourselves which was lovely and quiet. No staff on site while we were there. The location was perfect for the exploring we wanted to do."
"It was a little hard to find..even with GPS. No restaurants nearby to walk to."
"Our host was bubbling with warm enthousiasm over the 17th century farm house he restored, preserving as much of the old timbers and charm as possible. His attention to detail and his desire to make sure we were happy and comfortable made the stay a highlight of our trip."

"Beautiful location, peaceful. Gorgeous house typical of the area."
"There was nothing I didn't like. Ah, a good local restaurant and cafe would have been handy. But it was all wonderful and I'm looking forward to coming back."
"Nice owner. Nice room. Nice breakfast in the kitchen. Very clean."
"I stayed in room 3. Unfortunately I could hear the guest upstairs walking on the wooden floor and speaking on her phone. The shower head does not have strong water pressure and just seems to fall rather than use the fine holes. I could wash quite well but needs to be investigated for the next guest who stays. There was a mosquito flying around in the morning. Could be an idea to fit an electronic mosquito device in a plug socket. Also no electric sockets near the bed so I used a socket near the door and placed my mobile phone on the floor to charge."
"Beautiful, peaceful property. Very well taken care of, it has everything you need. Very well stocked kitchen and a beautiful balcony. Incredibly lovely owner."
"All was great!"

"Lovely staff, amazing view. Very cute village and beautiful surroundings. Well equipped shared kitchen."
"The place has a lot of stairs which made it a bit difficult to navigate with a toddler, a pram and luggage. But the upstairs view makes it worth it!"
"Not far from a lovely river with a bar! Unexpected highlight!"

"Very nice place. Very quiet, in the middle of horses. It was so nice to sit on the veranda and soak in the atmosphere. The veranda is also very nicely sheltered from the wind."

"Cosy room.in a traditional old farm building. The table by the swimming pool had a fabulous vista down the valley to Vizela and beyond; perfect for watching the sunset directly ahead whilst bats fly around and sipping the delicious wine made by the family. We regret not bringing some home! The owner went the extra mile for us, for example taking our laundry and ironing even in the middle of a heatwave"

"We did the Camino and it was right on the Camino trail. Payment is via cash only. The rooms are small but adequate for just one night. Nice place as it has its own vineyard. The caretaker is also very friendly. They provide a pilgrim dinner for 16 euro but we did not do that as we do not eat a heavy dinner. It did look good though."
"This place is so charming and having a kitchen and fireplace made it very nice."

"The hosts were great. A family-run guest house, good value for money and a great way to experience the local culture. The nearby restaurant they recommended was a real gem."
Naude Casa Dos Gomes
"The proprietor was wonderful. The common outside areas were very beautiful. The common inside area was a museum—-super interesting. The restaurant was very, very good! Fantastic! The rooms are just OK—clean and comfortable but little charm. Would definitely stay here again. Happily accomodated our bicycles in a secure room. Overall—super, just super!"
