"We didn’t have breakfast because it was served at 9 AM and we wanted to have an early day. It would’ve been nice if it was served earlier."

"The location was right in the center of the historical village of Monsaraz a beautiful gem, completely walled in and on top of a hill with beautiful sights; the room decoration was with African art motif, the breakfast was great!"

"the stairs leading up to the room were dangerous as some of the steps were missing a portion and this caused a bad fall on the stone floor."

Jill - 22/11/2024 09:24:01

"This property is off the main square. It is very rustic with thick stone walls and exposed wooden ceiling beams. You feel very much part of the village..The bed was comfortable and warm. Breakfast was outstanding."

"In mid November the room was a little chilly. WiFi was weak in the room."

Loic - 04/11/2024 22:25:30

"Loved the decor! We were transported into another world, tastefully curated with details that were captivating. The staff was very nice and the place was centrally located. The breakfast options were varied (including non-dairy milk which was a nice surprise). And finally, the bathroom and shower was were very spacious."

"Upon arrival the front door was locked and we didn’t get an answer to our knocks for a few minutes as the staff was busy. But it was not a big deal."

"Great location for being close to hiking trail, had heat and great shower with amazing water pressure comfy beds"

"We were on the Fishermen's trail and only stayed one night and did not really use all the amenities. It's a lovely place and I can highly recommend it. Lovely staff. They also gave us a room upgrade with an amazing view."

"Very nice place. Very quiet, in the middle of horses. It was so nice to sit on the veranda and soak in the atmosphere. The veranda is also very nicely sheltered from the wind."

"super nice hosts, who drove us into town. possibility of hanging out in the main building - with a reading corner and a bar - in the evening, which was very cozy. comfortable bed, hot showers, good breakfast."

"Cosy room.in a traditional old farm building. The table by the swimming pool had a fabulous vista down the valley to Vizela and beyond; perfect for watching the sunset directly ahead whilst bats fly around and sipping the delicious wine made by the family. We regret not bringing some home! The owner went the extra mile for us, for example taking our laundry and ironing even in the middle of a heatwave"

"We did the Camino and it was right on the Camino trail. Payment is via cash only. The rooms are small but adequate for just one night. Nice place as it has its own vineyard. The caretaker is also very friendly. They provide a pilgrim dinner for 16 euro but we did not do that as we do not eat a heavy dinner. It did look good though."

"This place is so charming and having a kitchen and fireplace made it very nice."

"Great experience! Historical site with authentic interior. Super clean!"

"The hosts were great. A family-run guest house, good value for money and a great way to experience the local culture. The nearby restaurant they recommended was a real gem."
