"The room was only a few metres from the crashing waves of the ocean. The bar and the restaurant have incredible views of the ocean. It is a welcoming and warm small hotel during the winter months."
"The beverage prices in the bar were very high. Restaurants nearby in the marina, charge about 50% less for vinho tinto. The restaurant food menu was very specialized - and oriented towards sushi. I was seeking a more diversified menu that includes several different entrees of fresh fish. As a result, we walked a few minutes to the marina and found a great seafood restaurant."
"The room was comfortable and size was good and the view was beautiful. The hotel ambiance was great and the staff very friendly and helpful."
"The only thing I would improve on would be the bathroom lighting because the overhead recessed lights over the vanity cause lots of shadowing on the face and the back light on the mirror was not strong enough to allow for easy makeup application. For me, lighting is very important especially at a bathroom vanity. Also, the morning breakfast area, while having a beautiful view with the large windows, should provide some type of sun firltering screen when the sun is shinning full force into the dining area."

"OMG. Where do I start? Hotel is nested next to marina in center of Cascais. It is well maintained, and comfortable. Rooms are good size, storage and bed is comfortable as dream."

"Farol is a great place to spend time to reconnect with nature and yourself: it has a unique location right at the ocean cliffs, so you can see and hear the waves, to watch the horizon with no distractions. I loved the style and aesthetics of this hotel, its design and comfort level are just perfect!"

"We were on the Fishermen's trail and only stayed one night and did not really use all the amenities. It's a lovely place and I can highly recommend it. Lovely staff. They also gave us a room upgrade with an amazing view."

"Very nice place. Very quiet, in the middle of horses. It was so nice to sit on the veranda and soak in the atmosphere. The veranda is also very nicely sheltered from the wind."

"Beautiful property just outside of town. Secure parking for motorcycle travel. Town has plenty of public parking if you don't mind being 2km from center. Unit was vary nice with seperate sitting area, kitchen, outside veranda overlooking garden. Bedroom upstairs in loft area. Only thing I didn't understand was a sign at tge kitchen sink saying not to put water in glass. Maybe water is not safe to drink?"

"Cosy room.in a traditional old farm building. The table by the swimming pool had a fabulous vista down the valley to Vizela and beyond; perfect for watching the sunset directly ahead whilst bats fly around and sipping the delicious wine made by the family. We regret not bringing some home! The owner went the extra mile for us, for example taking our laundry and ironing even in the middle of a heatwave"
