Guest reviews for Hotel Dona Sofia
"The room was big, clean and the bed was very comfortable...great location and the breakfast was good."
"Aucun."
"The hotel is walking distance to city landmarks in the historical area and public transportation. The room was squeaky clean and the staff went above and beyond to ensure I had a great stay."
"There's nothing I didn't like. Everything was great here!"
"The nice person at the reception and better than expected breakfast"

"Great breakfast. Very friendly and welcoming staff"
"Nothing negative to say"
"Breakfast was great! Staff were very helpful with directions to sites."
"All good...nothing to dislike"
"Beautiful room with small balcony overlooking the square. Location was amazing! We walked everywhere. So many great restaurants & attractions nearby. Lovely breakfast included too"
"Not one thing!"
"Excellent location in walking distance to everything"
"Cramped bathroom"
"The location is great and I was super lucky to be able to park the car in their limited spots at the front. They also have an arrangement with a separate park that worked very well for me on the check-out day. The room had what I needed to work remotely without any problems and it was comfortable"
"The breakfast didn't have a lot of choice in terms of food (e.g. you have eggs, but no bacon nor sausages), but I believe this was adequate for the type of hotel that I booked"
"Great location to explore Braga! The breakfast was good. Hotel staff were very helpful."
"There are only 5 parking spots in front of the hotel. The hotel does have an arrangement with a parking garage for $10/day. It would have been helpful if we had known about the parking garage prior to our arrival."
"Great location close to everything, great staff, clean, comfortable, AC was already on when we checked in so room was already cool and remained cool our entire stay. A mini fridge was great to store our drinks and snack foods that need refrigeration. Spacious bathroom, walk in shower big as well with built-in soap dish and towel rack. Double sink with hand towel rack. They have a cool soap dispenser where you just push it on the side of it, nothing I've seen before ( I had to figure out what it was and how to use it). Room with lots of different lights you can use. And I think a call button by the shower and at bedside if you need help. The emergency evacuation plan was illuminated at night - looks like glow in the dark so you can see it when its dark. Great breakfast as well. Staff was responsive and accomodating and we were able to leave our bags before check in."
"The socket for charging phones is on the bottom or lower part of the wall so not convenient when you are on the bed since it's not bed height level. Maybe and extra shelf for toiletries in lieu of the bidet in the bathroom."

"We were on the Fishermen's trail and only stayed one night and did not really use all the amenities. It's a lovely place and I can highly recommend it. Lovely staff. They also gave us a room upgrade with an amazing view."

"Very nice place. Very quiet, in the middle of horses. It was so nice to sit on the veranda and soak in the atmosphere. The veranda is also very nicely sheltered from the wind."

"super nice hosts, who drove us into town. possibility of hanging out in the main building - with a reading corner and a bar - in the evening, which was very cozy. comfortable bed, hot showers, good breakfast."

"Cosy room.in a traditional old farm building. The table by the swimming pool had a fabulous vista down the valley to Vizela and beyond; perfect for watching the sunset directly ahead whilst bats fly around and sipping the delicious wine made by the family. We regret not bringing some home! The owner went the extra mile for us, for example taking our laundry and ironing even in the middle of a heatwave"

"We did the Camino and it was right on the Camino trail. Payment is via cash only. The rooms are small but adequate for just one night. Nice place as it has its own vineyard. The caretaker is also very friendly. They provide a pilgrim dinner for 16 euro but we did not do that as we do not eat a heavy dinner. It did look good though."
"This place is so charming and having a kitchen and fireplace made it very nice."

"The hosts were great. A family-run guest house, good value for money and a great way to experience the local culture. The nearby restaurant they recommended was a real gem."
