"The hotel is right on the ocean in the middle of a very small village, practically in the middle of nowhere. In summer it might be more alive, in November it was very quiet. We didn't mind it but it's pretty far from anything. Since there were no cafes or restaurants in the neighbourhood we dined in the hotel and it was absolutely wonderful. We had the best meal during our week in Portugal; their chef is top of the top. Good coffee and good choice of options for breakfast. Having breakfast with the view of the ocean was absolutely stunning. Wi-fi was not very stable, but it worked in the room. Good heavy curtains that blocked the light completely so we were not disturbed by the beacon. Good pressure of hot water in the shower. There was plenty of room for parking outside the hotel on the street, but it might get crowded in summer."
"The mattress was ok, but a bit too soft for our backs. Ventilation\aircon system is old and a bit noisy; if it's off, the room gets stuffy quickly. The Hotel doesn't have it's own parking. Lifts are very strange, you need to use your room-key-card to make it move and it didn't always work from the first attempt. Spa is included but it is so small it's probably not even worth it. When we came, the steam room was cold, the sauna was extremely hot, both for 2-3 people max. One Jacuzzi was working, but only half of the jets. We were told that we only have half an hour, but when we came there was another couple there that stayed during "our time", so I didn't understand how it supposed to work. Since the spa was included in the price, we didn't lose anything."

"Some of the reception and restaurant staff did not provide all the information about what was included - for example, half-board included a glass of wine at dinner (we bought a bottle), and they didn't to give us bathrobes for the spa until we asked for them because we saw other guests getting them. Sometimes we were out till after lunchtime, and when we got back the room had not been cleaned yet."
