"The host and the waitresses are so kind and available. The breakfast is great!"

"The place is very charming, like an old fashioned home, very warm and inviting. Only 8 rental rooms. Quiet with a huge garden and pool ( which we didnt use). Good breakfast, not too fancy but enough to start the day. Beds were excellent, although they only had 2 twin beds for us and not a double bed. There was no check in time, they asked us about our time of arrival and we got the room when we arrived, at about 10:30 in the morning..."
"We would have liked t o have a coffee preparation set in the room, but that was all. We loved our 2 night sray there."
"Very nice hotel, with a very nice garden and pool. The breakfast was good. If we come back, we would definitely choose this hotel again. It Was great:)"

"Very nice hotel, great pool area and facilities. Large spacious rooms. Warm welcome. Nice breakfast and we were lucky to have a view of Pico"
"The room was beautiful but the wooden bed - although comfortable made so much noise - creaking when one person moved"
"Beautiful place run by lovely lady with much care. Kids loved the pool, I loved the view on Pico and lovely garden."
"No such thing."

"A little bit noisy if you have a room on the road side, but ok at night"
"Clean, calm, availability and offer advice on sites to ser and eat. A simple rural place, with a nice pool and breakfast and lots of place to park your car."
"Nothing."
"We had a very nice time at Quinta do Vale! Position is nice, not too far from the main city and not too far to reach the rest of the island! Swimming pool and garden are very nice to relax and recharge from the days. The host has been very very nice providing a nice welcome and some very useful information! Breakfast is top!!"

".A fabulous oldy world quinta. Room furniture was original wood. All very comfortable. The owners were always on hand to help with any queries/arranging taxis etc. Beautiful gardens with view of Pico swimming pool, sauna, pool 🎱 table"
"It was quite rural and needed taxi or hire car. Buses went to Horta, but very spasmodic."

"Great location for being close to hiking trail, had heat and great shower with amazing water pressure comfy beds"
Christiane Sol Dourado
"Very nice place. Very quiet, in the middle of horses. It was so nice to sit on the veranda and soak in the atmosphere. The veranda is also very nicely sheltered from the wind."

"Cosy room.in a traditional old farm building. The table by the swimming pool had a fabulous vista down the valley to Vizela and beyond; perfect for watching the sunset directly ahead whilst bats fly around and sipping the delicious wine made by the family. We regret not bringing some home! The owner went the extra mile for us, for example taking our laundry and ironing even in the middle of a heatwave"

"We did the Camino and it was right on the Camino trail. Payment is via cash only. The rooms are small but adequate for just one night. Nice place as it has its own vineyard. The caretaker is also very friendly. They provide a pilgrim dinner for 16 euro but we did not do that as we do not eat a heavy dinner. It did look good though."
"This place is so charming and having a kitchen and fireplace made it very nice."

"The hosts were great. A family-run guest house, good value for money and a great way to experience the local culture. The nearby restaurant they recommended was a real gem."
Naude Casa Dos Gomes
"The proprietor was wonderful. The common outside areas were very beautiful. The common inside area was a museum—-super interesting. The restaurant was very, very good! Fantastic! The rooms are just OK—clean and comfortable but little charm. Would definitely stay here again. Happily accomodated our bicycles in a secure room. Overall—super, just super!"
