"The atmosphere was amazing. Small details was designed."

"The room was very spacious and well designed. The tub was a weird one, as the water cannot cover all of our bodies (maybe we did not understant its proper use). The Hotel is just 10 minutes away from Óbidos, and the whole farm turned to hotel theme was very cute. Breakfast and staff were spot on."
"The lack of a bidé in the bathroom."
"Amazing place to get away during the winter (and probably during summer time). The place itself is amazing. The spaces, the decoration, and all the ambiance are fantastic. The staff is very friendly. The breakfast is so good and the restaurant is a must go."

"Very special property, interesting architecture, the fire place was great, the concept was cool."
"We didn’t get any explanations: about the place about how breakfast works about what facilities are available. We felt completely ignored upon arrival, the hotel even hung up the phone on us when we called to ask a few things. On our last day with a different staff member things looked very different but we were already leaving sadly"
"Amazing Design, total Look&Feel experience, great ambiance"
"Something the design was on the account of comfort. Not enough power sockets in the room, only one side of the bed had socket and light."
"Very Spacious room. Room very comfortable and modern and clean. Excellent Breakfast. No problem of parking. Quiet and merged into the nature: all rooms at ground floor."
"Not easy to get from the parking to the room. In the middle of nowhere...about 3km from Obidos..."
"We really enjoyed our stay at the Rio do Prado. It is a pretty unique place with a very good eco-design concept at its relaxing country location. Very close to the fabulous beaches and lagoon of Foz do Arelho (driving distance about 20 minutes). The bedrooms are quirky but not in any way unwelcoming. We slept beautifully in our Superior Suite room. The outdoor pool is very relaxing, and the indoor areas (very good libraries) are very good. Breakfast was very good; dinner at the hotel is good with some fine vegetarian options. Wine selection is good and the hotel and restaurant staff are all very friendly and helpful."

"We were on a trip from Porto to Lisbon and decided to make a stop at Rio de Prado. This is a special and quiet place. Definitely not a hotel and not an Airbnb. We have never been to such a place that makes use of the materials that nature gives us. Everything there is natural from natural materials. The staff was also nice and kind."

"A beautiful and magical hotel, located near Chiado. An ecological hotel completely immersed in greenery, the buildings are made of concrete, iron and wood and the furniture is recycled and everything is so calm and pleasant. Extraordinary design, excellent service, beautiful and spacious rooms. Excellent and beautiful complex."

"Unique and quiet accommodation, with a good use of space on the property with the decor and facilities. Our door was not working and the staff provided a resolution quickly. We received good service the whole time we were here."
"We loved our stay here but some design choices left us puzzled. The door to the toilet had no lock, could not be shut fully without constantly pressing on it, and had a hole in the door to allow one's finger to slot through to open. This was quite disturbing when sharing the room and one had to use the toilet. Secondly the mirrors at the sink are via multiple small mirrors scattered around the wall, and we have pretty average height, which meant we could not see ourselves in the mirror unless we squat and duck to the side of the sink."

"We were on the Fishermen's trail and only stayed one night and did not really use all the amenities. It's a lovely place and I can highly recommend it. Lovely staff. They also gave us a room upgrade with an amazing view."
Cedric Monte Carvalhal da Rocha
"Very nice place. Very quiet, in the middle of horses. It was so nice to sit on the veranda and soak in the atmosphere. The veranda is also very nicely sheltered from the wind."

"Cosy room.in a traditional old farm building. The table by the swimming pool had a fabulous vista down the valley to Vizela and beyond; perfect for watching the sunset directly ahead whilst bats fly around and sipping the delicious wine made by the family. We regret not bringing some home! The owner went the extra mile for us, for example taking our laundry and ironing even in the middle of a heatwave"

"We did the Camino and it was right on the Camino trail. Payment is via cash only. The rooms are small but adequate for just one night. Nice place as it has its own vineyard. The caretaker is also very friendly. They provide a pilgrim dinner for 16 euro but we did not do that as we do not eat a heavy dinner. It did look good though."
"This place is so charming and having a kitchen and fireplace made it very nice."

"The hosts were great. A family-run guest house, good value for money and a great way to experience the local culture. The nearby restaurant they recommended was a real gem."
Naude Casa Dos Gomes
"The proprietor was wonderful. The common outside areas were very beautiful. The common inside area was a museum—-super interesting. The restaurant was very, very good! Fantastic! The rooms are just OK—clean and comfortable but little charm. Would definitely stay here again. Happily accomodated our bicycles in a secure room. Overall—super, just super!"
