"Beautiful historic hotel. The elevator was from a bygone era. Rooms were well sized and bathrooms had been brought to modern standards including great shower with near instant hot water and excellent water pressure."

"Historic building. Great air conditioning which cooled the room even when in the 90s (37C) outside. Room was large but basic. Mini fridge in the room. Large balcony but no chairs outside. I just brought the chair from inside to sit and watch the sunset."

"This is a great place to stay, close to downtown and within walking distance of most sites and restaurants. Staff at the property are very friendly, helpful, and would go above and beyond to make your stay comfortable. Love the ambiance of this hotel, an old, vintage, historical colonial building converted into a hotel. The room was spacious and clean, the bed was comfy with high sealings and had good air conditioning. Really loved this place."

"Location easy parking and great staff. The mid day receptionist has been there for 25 years and it shows. He was very professional, helped us with our luggage as well as a wealth of useful information. Very cold AC if you want in the room. Close to all bars and restaurants in the old city. Police and military on the streets late night made us feel very safe. Highly recommend this colonial hotel with lots of class."

"staff is very friendly and work hard to accommodate the guests. the actual hotel room is very modern with good amenities. Sheets were clean and comfortable, however, slightly stained. towels and bathroom were good. Breakfast was a basic fare, but filled you up. Location is ok... the downtown is now desolate."
