"The location is amazing. 30 seconds walk to metro station, and many shops around. The room is clean and the bed is comfortable. Good WiFi and 24/7 checkin."

The room is very small. It's alright but for a longer stay it can be too narrow. There is a strong cigarette smell in the hallways, please enforce the smoking rule more strictly. However, in the rooms it doesnt smell. Also, the bathroom is tiny, so there is not a real shower, it is above the toilet, which can be unconfortable. Also, the elevator takes too long to arrive, which is annoying.

"Such a beautiful location! The breakfast was just wonderful and the workers there were so kind and accommodating. We loved our room. We wish we could have stayed longer."

The only issue we had was that the water in the room was a little yellow. We were told that all the water on the island was that way, so I don’t think it could have been helped.

"Absolutely loved this hotel !! If there was a rating beyond 5 stars, would have definitely given 5+ stars. The location was just perfect, just 2 mins walk from Kamala beach. The hotel staff was just so courteous, hospitality is exceptionally great. They make you feel at home. I forgot some stuff in the hotel room, the staff was just so kind and helpful, they mailed my package all the way to USA! The suite was amazing - luxurious, with ocean view and a relaxing plunge pool. The breakfast buffet was gorgeous, enjoyed the spread. Overall perfect in all aspects, excellent stay, recommended to all my friends."

Everything was great, the 2nd bedroom could be more lighted.

Close to the road makes it convenient but a little noisy.

Our group was even offered transportation to and from the airport. Staff checked up with us every step of the way from pre-check in to post airport drop off.The rooms were beautifully set up and clean throughout our stay. "I liked that the room was spacious, with enough space to place luggage comfortably. It did not feel cramped and was larger than rooms in the city. The accommodation is located near Matsumoto shops."

The parking was limited, so I had to use a nearby public parking for 500 yen, which was not far from the accommodation.

"First to start with the location, its in the center of zahle and close to everything; mini markets, restarurants, pubs, and all types of shops. Also close to the popular berdawni area. All are within walking distance. The rooms were spacious and very clean. The beds were very comfortable. The hotel management and staff were super nice and friendly. The value for the price paid was excellent."

The guy at check out seemed frustrated with my questions about how to get my passport stamped. I speak French so it wasn’t the language barrier. I did figure it out tho!

"Berndt the owner is an amazing good hearted and very helpful in helping all the visitors to books buses and trips and Rinalda is an amazing woman serving a great breakfast with love. Rooms and toilets super clean and super safe place .there s a biliardo and a small shop outside and a fully equiped kitchen where we did amazing barbecue with the other guests and we had lots of fun! It s very well centrally located with a breath taking terrace view and birds singing in the morning.ideal for my yoga too"

The beachfront access and views can't be beat, however it's a little far from town and therefore difficult to leave the hotel to go to restaurants, shops etc. without a car.

"Was a good place to stay on short notice going to the formula one race which was about 35 minutes away. The staff is really nice and helpful."

My biggest negative about the property was the bathroom was so tiny. The door couldn’t open up the whole way so if you are a bigger person I don’t recommend staying here. I am not that big of a person and felt crammed.

We had a sink in our room so only shower and toilet facilities are shared."

Cons: You may hear noise from people outside on public deck. During our stay all observed quiet time after 11PM. We always have ear plugs so we are ok.

There is no fridge in the room, only two glasses were given for three persons.

"The beds were comfortable and if you found the private bathroom the shower there was the best I have ever had anywhere. Good pressure and hot water. The location is great because it is close to the shops. They have a restaurant there and while the prices are a bit steep the food was quite good."

The place is a hotel in the process of renovation. It is a little old and had seen grander days. Our rooms while having clean beds saw windows that had cobwebs on them and flaky paint. The kitchen is communal and there was just one mug for all. The dish rags were used and dirty. There is a huge clock tower which is a feature of the town and it chimes all through the night. So if you are a light sleeper ask for a back room off the road. The bar staff in the hotel were excellent but there was a dispute with the owner who had posted different information on Booking.com from the room we received. We wanted two separate beds and were initially given one. After additional money was paid we got one room with two beds.

"Hotel France is very clean, safe, quiet, and friendly. It is easy to walk to everything. I was awakened every morning by the aroma of fresh warm pastries! I would definitely stay here again!! I posted pictures of how to easily get to Hotel France from train station. Go to platform C and walk all the way to the end, turn LEFT and walk all the way to the end of the tunnel. You will enter a small court yard, walk a little to the right and look for a small set of stairs next to the cafe. Go down the stairs and turn to the left, Hotel France is right there. Google directions are confusing. (my pictures loaded in reverse order)"
