"The apartment we received was very spacious and comfortable, a new, well-equipped unit with a pleasant design. The staff were extremely kind, polite, and helpful, responding to all our requests with a smile. The location also allows you to discover less touristy but absolutely stunning parts of the island, which made our stay special."

"The location is a bit far from the main tourist area and situated on a hill, which makes it slightly challenging to reach by bicycle. There were also a couple of days when water and electricity were unavailable for most of the day, but this was an island-wide issue, not specific to the hotel."

"Our room (7) was very spacious and comfortable with a big balcony. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, taking good care of us throughout the stay. The location is good, relatively close to the jetty and to one of the more popular beaches on La Digue. The breakfast was good, especially the fresh mango juice!"

"We booked a bicycle and a tricycle well in advance, and were given a price of 200 SCR for the tricycle. However, upon collection, it suddenly turned out that the tricycle costs 300 SCR, which caught us a little off guard. We showed the previous communication regarding the prices, and despite this, all we got was an excuse that there had been a mistake, but they cannot do anything about it. Upon checking out, we were asked to pay a “service fee” for having used the restaurant. Our booking included half board, and the dinner was hit and miss. I personally enjoyed all my meals, but my girlfriend didn’t really. We felt that the price we paid for the half board didn’t really match what we got. The shower in the bathroom was rusty and could use a little updating, but other than that it worked just fine. They are currently expanding the restaurant, which is great, but unfortunately the construction works take away from the mountain view, which is currently rather obstructed by this new addition."

"Very spacious family room with one king bed and one single bed, good AC, breakfast is enough: eggs and coffee of your choice prepared for you, porridge, toasts, flakes, fruit and cake. Of course missing veggies and cheese and ham are very simple but if you expect 5 star breakfast go to 5 star resort. In general food options in Seychelles is specific. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Bikes at 120 SCR per bike/day at Chloe’s 200 m down the road"

"This is our fifth visit to the Seychelles and was our first stay at Mountain View Hotel. We found the rooms to be very good, the pool was lovely to cool off in at the end of the day and the view was lovely, we even saw paradise flycatchers from there. All the staff at the hotel are fantastic and want to make sure you enjoy your holiday. The hotel is at the top of a steep hill but this gives you the wonderful view and it is not too far to cycle anywhere on the island. For the price paid we found the hotel to be excellent value for money. We cannot understand the negative reviews. We certainly have no hesitation in recommending this hotel."

"We had a good stay at the Mountain View Hotel. The staff was really friendly and did their best. The breakfast was tasty. Everything was clean. We always had enough water to shower. The hotel is on a hill with a nice view. We went by foot from the jetty. It took 30-40 minutes. It was sweaty, but we really liked it. If you do not like it, they organize you a taxi. We rent bikes for the days at the nearby MOMO‘s bike rental and liked to drive over the island."

The location is unbeatable, close to the jetty, shops, bike rentals and the most beautiful beaches, yet still quiet and peaceful with stunning views of the mountains. The room was spotless, modern, and very comfortable, with great air conditioning and everything we needed. Breakfast was delicious and a great way to start the day before exploring the island. The staff were outstanding, so warm, welcoming and always ready to help us with recommendations, bookings and local tips. Their kindness made our experience unforgettable and we felt truly taken care of. This hotel really exceeded our expectations, it felt like home on paradise island.
