"I am being generous with the score, because the homestay is new and family-owned. The place was super clean and the family of the hosts were nice. Breakfast is good."

"The food they offer is Ridiculously expensive. More expensive than most fine dining restaurants in the country. We experienced a very awkward situation when we arrived to the homestay. As soon as we entered the property we were offered a traditional dinner. However, when we were told the price we ask to cancel it, it since it was literally 10 to 15 times more expensive than local restaurants. The hosts were quite upset about it, and did not want us to cancel it. The homestay dinner for two was 150 TND, and we ended up dining at an awesome nearby grill for 15. The difference in pricing is just too much. It was the only time in our trip when we felt scammed. Also, the shower is terrible. It’s either boiling hot or freezing. It’s impossible to regulate the temperature. We had to use a small jar to have a bath, since it was impossible to use the shower. I hope you can fix these problems in the future, because the house is super nice."

"Rhe house was particularly cold. There was no heating system except for a wood fireplace. We tried to heat the house but it wasn't enough and the morning after it was very cold. Taking the shower we realized hot water wasn't constant and suddenly, meanwhile having the shower, water became freezing cold. The price for dinner, rhough we decided to eat there, in my opinion, was a little expensive comparing it with other meals in Tunisia."

"We had a great stay in the outskirts of Kairouan. Our hostess was really hospitable, provided us delicious breakfast and we could also order dinner. We could spend a nice quiet night in the countryside. The flat was nicely decorated. Note: if you come in a season when heating is needed, make sure someone in your party is confident to use a fireplace as the only source of heating."
