"I had a wonderful stay at Compass. The rooms and the entire hostel were exceptionally clean, quiet, and very comfortable. What made it special was the staff—they treat you like family and make you feel right at home. It’s also in a perfect location, just a short walk to the beach. I loved it here and would definitely stay again!"

"Amazing experience, it’s the first time I stay in a hostel and Compass exceeded my expectations. The beds are huge, with the good private detail of the curtains, each of them have a safe box and fan which makes it perfect. The place is clean, the bathroom and shower are very comfortable and with good water pressure. Not to mention the location it’s close to every important spot in Nungwi. The staff is also very friendly and helpful if needed. Thank you!"

"This might be the most honest review you can find today,Clean place,nice beds,great decor,fresh space,the fresh fruit plate of fruits included in breakfast ,everything was a 10/10.Not to mention the staff,the manager who took his time to locate me when lost in nungwi cbd,I don’t remember his name clearly but I think Samson,such a professional! asante sana. There was also Salama and Grace were also super helpful in making me feel at home,I celebrated my birthday in great company and I had the best time!GOD BLESS YOU ALL AT COMPASS❤️"

"I felt very safe and secure in the hostel. The location was right by the beach. The breakfast was delicious and the staff were all so kind of helpful. The rooms had ACs and personal fans. The beds were very large and the rooms had bed curtains and blackout curtains . It was all so clean."

"Great staff, everything is brand new & they are working to create more social opportunities. We all went to a local dinner & show together. Beds are larger & comfortable, hot showers & cold AC is perfect after long beach day. Highly recommend staying here in Zanzibar!"

"I've been here multiple times now, and it's a reliably good, newly built place with AC in a great location. Beds have their own lights, curtains for privacy and it's relatively quiet, which is great—good common area and decent breakfast."

"Suggest adding soap to the bathrooms, especially with backpackers coming and going from countries all over the world. With the rising nightly price, suggest a refrigerator for storing leftovers, or a small kitchen area for cooking pasta, or a small meal. Eating out for lunch and dinner can get expensive if you don't know where to go."
