Hostels in Tanzania

"Rubens and his staff were excellent, they were kind and welcoming. I also went on Rubens wine tour, which was informative and enabled me to see severla key locations outside of the capital city. The private room I had was clean and pleasant and I had a good stay."

Unreliable WiFi and a couple of incorrect description posted on Booking.com (no indoor dining area, coffee maker) that are missing in the room.

"MyFarm is not just a place to sleep. It is a vibrant place full of life. You wake up from the sound of beautiful birds in the morning, you can join the MyFarm team for breakfast and talk about their daily life here. All the staff is super nice and accommodating. It's amazing to be inside such a wonderful place that gives out free education to the people who live around here. I ended up helping out in the different educational programs and I loved every moment of it. I thought I just went for a cheap place to stay that was also social, but I got so much more. I will definitely come back as a volunteer to the project."

"Quiet spot that's a short walk to the harbor where Nuuk Water Taxi and the Arctic Umiaq line leave from. The host was very friendly and helpful with luggage storage. Small place with only 3 rooms and a shared kitchen."

Wasn't a problem for me but as a warning you must climb up a lot of stairs to get in.

"Cozy and comfortable, Lucy and Buggy were very friendly and personable. The property is on a quiet little street near the beach. Lots of common area space for socializing."

The room is a bit small but not a problem for a short stay

It would be nice to have curtains on the bunk beds as many hostels do for privacy

Provide some décent knifes, cutting boards, and paint a bit the outside kitchen to make it more welcoming and it will be a 10. Anyhow it is a good choice if you're on a budget.

"Not bad at all! When I was there I had the whole dorm to myself, staff were nice, it was more or less clean, bed was comfy enough. Just no wifi and some mosquitoes. Great for Tonga and especially for the price."

The kitchen facilities are a bit tricky because one kitchen is so small (one person can fit) and the upstairs kitchen has little sitting (except outside if the weather allows).

"Best location, right in the Old Town but on a rather small and calm street. Walking distance from the railway station (20 minutes), and to all interesting places in the center. Lovely restaurants and bars all around. Easy to find and to check-in digitally at late night. Only four beds in the room but still low price. From the first minute, this hostel felt welcoming and very cosy. Easy to relate to other guests, maybe because of the nice atmosphere. Kitchen very well equipped and with a large table for eating or playing games."

Textile carpeting in the dormitory. It felt clean enough, but not very easy to keep sane.

"I had an amazing stay at this hostel! The staff were incredible, especially Alexander he was super friendly, always available, and ready to help with anything. He really made the experience even better❤️❤️❤️. The room was very clean, and the bathroom was spotless too. they have a professional cleaner everything was well taken care of. The kitchen was fully furnished, clean, and easy to use 👌👌. Most importantly, I had so much fun staying here. The atmosphere was great, and I felt comfortable the whole time. I would definitely recommend this hostel and would love to come back! Thank you Dimitra & Alex"

"Sehr nette Besitzerin. Lage etwas versteckt im Kampung. Nah am Flughafen. An einem kleinen See mit Sitzgelegenheiten. Essensmöglichkeiten an der nahen Hauptstraße. Küche mit Kühlschrank und Waschmaschine. Super für Leute, die eine Übernachtung in Flughafennähe suchen."

A 15-minute walk leads to Quinpool Road where there are many shops, grocery stores, and late-night restaurants, brewpubs, and coffee shops. Bus to downtown Halifax, to and from, is a snap (# 1 down Coburg / Spring Garden Road) University dorm accom in Halifax, various campuses, is incredible value. Book EARLY though!"

My only 'grump' is the heavy banging of the entry door to the dormitory, folks coming and going and NOT being mindful to the gorilla-sized BANG of the door closing behind them. This was not an issue for me; but for my partner it most certainly was, I am not sure that anything can be done about the door itself. We DID bring this matter to the attention of the front desk-and the folks there were very understanding and in agreement. The shared bathroom / showers set-up was absolutely agreeable-no complaints.

"A Pleasant Surprise at Palm Garden! We booked Palm Garden without checking any reviews—only afterward did we take a look and feel a bit unsure. My husband even told me not to say anything about the booking, just to see how it was when we got there. But to our surprise, from the moment we arrived, everything was wonderful. At the doorstep, we were greeted by Madu at reception, who welcomed us with the warmest smile—as if we had known her for years! 😊 Our room was spotlessly clean, very spacious, with a large comfortable bed and a lovely balcony overlooking a beautiful view. It was clear that the staff really care about maintaining a high standard."

It is on the 2nd floor, and no lift, luckily i didnt bring heavy lugage.. also the staff service is amazing they offer to help to bring the lugage.

"The hostel is well located and calm. It is a really good place to relax. The people taking care of it are really kind and helpful, the food is excellent"

Not easy to access by bike

"Facility was in the city center with a huge parking lot. Stuff was very nice and small bar was included on reception. Everything related with accomodation was clean and looked very new."
