"The property is right next to Burwood train station, which made getting around super convenient. The price was reasonable and the overall value for money was excellent. Thin walls. There were noises from other people in the corridor/bathrooms/doors. The room could use a little decoration for cozier feeling.

"It is conveniently located in the center of St. Thomas downtown, near Vendors Plaza, Emancipation Park, and many shops and restaurants. The value for the dollar is excellent, it is clean and well furnished, provides a continental breakfast, and has amazing views."

There are a LOT of steps. I knew there were some but I counted 85.

Power cuts in the city make rooms warm, there is loud music from the bar next door on Fridays and Saturdays.

"The way they treated me is out of my expectations. They understood my situation of flights cancellation, modification and of course my financial changes. I really loved the staff, cleaning, friendly environment, cooking facilities and much more. Suggests everyone to come and enjoy luxurious facilities at low cost. Hats off to Penthouse Hotel."

Their is nothing i can assume to be bad. Everything was above my expectations. Everyone should try it at least. No one will say that they found something bad on this hotel.

"We stayed here in September after walking the Arctic circle trail. We were faster than expected, so we contacted the owner as soon as we arrived in town. He immediatly told us we could stay at the house and came to pick us up in 10min to bring us there. It is a bedroom in his home and he immediately made us feel very welcome. We had space in the fridge, the entire kitchen available and we were allowed to use the washing machine to clean all our stuff. The WiFi was also excellent. The host was very friendly and taught us lots about Greenland, Inuit culture and history and the surrounding area. He also offered to take us on a boat trip to the ghost village (at a much better rate than any other provider). All in all a great place to stay!"

As we were staying in someone's home and not a hotel, the place wasnt absolutely spotless, but it was clean and homey. It might not be to everybody's taste to share a bathroom with a family though.

"It was welcoming and clean in the room. The pool temperature was perfect. The breakfast was lekker."

The toilets and kitchen where untidy. The kitchen had no stock so the limited menu was unavailable.

"I spent a wonderful week at The Octopus Tropical Oasis. I had the flamingo cabin behind the pool with a double bed and an outdoor shower. There is a communal kitchen, a small deck and a hammock in a tropical garden. The pool is very nice and the area is very quiet. It is a 3 mn walk to Playa Wachi, 15 mn from Boca Sami beach and another 30 mn hike from there to Kokomo beach. I painted a mural for the owners over 3 days."

Bring mosquito spray as there are lots of mosquitoes from 5 pm to 7 am even with the mosquito net around the bed. I walked a lot as I did not rent a car. There are local buses though.

Nice (and very clean) room, and for a very reasonable price (have been to city accommodations half as good for twice the price). Also provided disposable indoor slippers, which is instantly a +1. Lastly, can mention that the owner also has a nearby restaurant (c. 2min walk), called La Chimera, which I can strongly recommend. I do not normally give 10/10 unless very deserving, i.e. going above and beyond, but this place deserves it."

The host cannot speak much English, but make it up through effort and enthusiasm, so you will still understand in the end (with or without Google translate). Breakfast was ok, but almost only sweets, so some less sugary stuff as well could be good. Some of the toiletries just lasted, so not a big issue, but if providing more then would not have to ration. Can also be a bit difficult to find (more so since some streets are currently closed-off due to construction).

"Quaint, cozy village house with friendly, hospitable Belgian hosts who speak Bulgarian and will make you feel right at home. If you're into luxury and 5-star hotels, do not book here. This is a great place to stay if you like the countryside, peace and quiet, dogs and smiling faces. Totally recommended! P.S.: The lighting in my Bedroom 1 was state-of-the-art."

Everything was just fine

"Juliet and Wayne were wonderful hosts and made us feel welcome right from the start, including greeting us with a sorrel drink on arrival. The accommodation was very clean and comfortable, and having shared access to the kitchen and living room made the stay feel relaxed and homely."

"Everything was all right. The room was sparkling clean. There are several options for the breakfast. The massage was all right, not the best, but still good. The drinks in the minibar were not expensive (paid around 15 euros for a wine and 2 coca-cola). The personal was very nice, but not everyone speaks english."

I didn't like the breakfast. The jacuzzi was not working, so we had to cancel the spa reservation. They let us know the same morning when we arrived there.

It’s a little far outside from the main part of town. There is no bus that goes to the dudeks nest so you have to find rides which sometimes can be a little tricky. Sometimes the wild chickens are loud in the mornings.

"The property is beautiful and the hosts are wonderful. Rooms are spacious."

The rooms did not have A/C which I don’t think is needed most of the time, but we went during a heat spell and the fans only did so much. We had to keep the door open all night, which is a safety concern for some people.

"Couldn't enjoy the breakfast as I had an early flight. The hotel is located well for travelers who have an onward flight from Tashkent international or domestic airport. The place was squeaky clean and the staff were welcoming and helpful!"

The number provided on the booking.com website should be updated as it was not a really responsive number. Other than that there's nothing more that can be improved at the hotel. Keep up the good work!

"It's a beautiful property- the room and facilities were great. The dinner was delicious and extremely generous- Rum and wine included as well. Breakfast had some nice continental options and I especially enjoyed the herb tea. The host was wonderful- I don't speak French but was very easy using google translate. She gave great instructions for arrival. She also looked after me as and made sure I got to the start of my hike safely- she asked another couple to drop me at the trail on their way to Marla after she realised I was going to walk up the windy mountain road! If you are getting a bus there is also a stop right outside- although take care to plan as the buses don't run frequently."

"Thanks for Saffron's hospitality! She always replies on time in the plateform and care everything you staying in Tonga. Everyday the management team will clean the common area and keep here tidy. In the bedroom, they use the white lien showing the cleanliness as a hostel. I'm very satisfied with staying in Tonga Cottage. Highly recommend."

"I arrived late and the taxi driver was unsure of the location. However the owner ( manager) came out to meet us and showed me the cabin, there was a language barrier as I don’t speak French, however with the help of google translate this was overcome. The breakfast was good and plentiful with egg, dates, yoghurt and bread with a juice and coffee. The owner was very helpful despite the language, the cabins are functional and good fun and first thing I walked (30 seconds) to the beautiful beach at sunrise!"
