"The rooms were like stepping into a fairytale. The staff was extremely friendly and forgiving about our lack of being remotely competent in speaking French. The breakfasts and dinner we had there were fantastic! The slopes were a quick and easy drive away too."

"The place took me back in time, everything has an antique look to it. The decoration is very charming. Breakfast was luxury. Beds were comfortable. The bathroom was very clean, you even have a shower head with hose."

"We had hoped for something with an old world flair and Auberge Baker was exactly what we had hoped for... actually more. The setting, the kindness and friendliness of the staff (Emmet and Lilliete), the uniqueness and comfort of our room were all wonderful. We also ate dinner there and found the food to be worthy of a chef's kiss. It felt like we had been transported to the French countryside. The location was wonderful for access to St. Anne du Beaupre and Montmorency Falls, and left our drive the next day into Quebec to be a very short drive."

"The location of the property is excellent for viewing the Aurora Borealis as it is located on the shore of Great Slave Lake which provides ample open space when the lake is frozen in the winter for a great viewing experience. The accommodations were comfortable and clean and well heated, a plus for a winter visit like ours.. Ben, the substitute on-site manager was extremely helpful during our stay. Yellowknife is a wonderful small town to visit and enjoy during the winter"
