"This was such an amazing experience! I was skeptical about camping at first but I am so glad we did! We were taken care of the moment we arrived. The rooms were great and very clean with full bathrooms. They had lots of mosquito nets available for use and we slept great! The boat ride, night walk, and bonfire dinner were all so great! The place is beautiful and has so much to explore. We woke up early the next morning to do the safari and our guide, Pathum, was amazing and took us on a different route away from the other trucks so we were alone and saw all of the different animals. He also gave us his binoculars to use and regularly stopped and pointed out different animals for us to look at. We even got up close and personal to an elephant all by ourselves. I highly recommend for anyone looking to have a different experience!"

"I had such a great stay at Lac Castor! My hut was right on the lake and was well stocked with firewood and cooking utensils. It was a little more off-grid than I expected. It seems as though the huts lighting works from solar power only so the lights did start to cut out in the evening, there isn't much/any cell service and there weren't outlets to be able to charge my phone. The communal toilets however did have working outlets that could be used. But I would 100% stay here again! The site is absolutely beautiful and so peaceful. Being able to take a canoe out onto the lake at sunset was just magic! And the staff are so friendly. I would highly recommend staying here!"

It would be nice to have more power to the huts, but I was very happy with it nonetheless.

"New, comfortable room with private bathroom. Very comfortable bed. Shared fully equipped kitchen. Good internet. Quiet in a safe district. 15 min in the bus number 10 or 12 to the city center. Alice, the owner who lives there, is very nice and helpful. She booked a taxi for us and woke up at 5.30a.m. to be sure that the taxi arrived. Excellent quality for a good price."

It is number 1 on the intercom when you arrive there. it is not written Conforto.

"Staff was amazing. Rachel went above and beyond any call of duty to have us met from a late bus, organised a park trip and had us dropped in morrogoro. Nesto made sure we were safe in the campground. Breakfast was great, more like brunch.Highly recommend the camping but for the bravehearted...loved sitting around the campfire in the early hours of the morning, listening to the sound of silence and occasionalanimal call, watching the moon sail across the sky from the net window of the tent... the sister hotel nearby has lovely rooms, at a very reasonable rate."

"Lovely location near Little Petra. Easily accessible, though last bit of road is gravel. We were the only guests (due to low tourist numbers in general), and our host Mohammed was very generous with his time and efforts to give us a great experience there. The cooking was superb for the two dinners we paid for, and the breakfast was tasty and plentiful. Heat was provided in the evenings to stave off the chilly weather. Our family of 5 enjoyed it immensely and would happily stay here again if we come back to Petra"

It's a camp, not a hotel. This is a huge plus in our minds, to be more out in nature and away from crowds. So there were no downsides for us, but you should come expecting a clamping experience, not a cushy one.

The dirt behind the hut. There were empty bottles and other dirt that they could have been cleaned.

"It was a true eco Lodge experience! It was almost like camping and the surrounding nature is incredible. They hire canoeing tours around the island as well which was great. The staff was great and was more than willing to assist with any requests. They have a big library and it's a great opportunity to digital detox"

This experience may not be for everyone. The wifi was shotty and slow at best. If you want freedom to travel, be prepared to pay extra for the boats. Otherwise you are restricted to the island except for the 1 free boat each way per day. We didn't mind this though. They have an extensive menu and many vegetarian options but it was average.

"독채를 빌려서 측간소음, 층간소음 전혀없어서 좋았어요 바베큐장비, 취사기(밥솥), 냄비 있을게 다 있어서 밥해먹기도 좋았어요 차량도 자기숙소칸 앞에 세우다보니 소음 차단이 추가로 되는 느낌이라 좋았고, 바로앞에 해수욕장, 온천이 있어 좋아요."

"Loved being in my own private forest. Mickey who was taking care of the place was great. Totally natural off the grid kind of place. Great views from my room through the forest to the ocean."

"WOW! What an experience our stay here was. Right from the main gate, seeing animals as you drive in, right through the checking out, everything was beautiful. The staff made everything perfect with their hospitality, and attending to each and every single need we had. Would love to stay there longer next time, and really take it all in."

Staff!! Before I leave, during the check out I was accusing I took a charger cable. I let her know I didn’t take it but she was affirming she left the cord by the speaker, then she called something to confirm that it was not there. But I left the place very upset! Next time do double check of the object are in the apartment! Beside this, the experience was great !
