Luxury tents in Panama

"Staff was amazing. Rachel went above and beyond any call of duty to have us met from a late bus, organised a park trip and had us dropped in morrogoro. Nesto made sure we were safe in the campground. Breakfast was great, more like brunch.Highly recommend the camping but for the bravehearted...loved sitting around the campfire in the early hours of the morning, listening to the sound of silence and occasionalanimal call, watching the moon sail across the sky from the net window of the tent... the sister hotel nearby has lovely rooms, at a very reasonable rate."

"It was a true eco Lodge experience! It was almost like camping and the surrounding nature is incredible. They hire canoeing tours around the island as well which was great. The staff was great and was more than willing to assist with any requests. They have a big library and it's a great opportunity to digital detox"

This experience may not be for everyone. The wifi was shotty and slow at best. If you want freedom to travel, be prepared to pay extra for the boats. Otherwise you are restricted to the island except for the 1 free boat each way per day. We didn't mind this though. They have an extensive menu and many vegetarian options but it was average.

"My stay at Para un poquito was wonderful, the hosts Flor and Joel are very welcoming, nice and helpful in any situation, they know and love the place. The situation right on the beach is idyllic, you literally go out of your room and are on the beach. I'd definitely recommend this place."

"Amazing camp accessible by car. We only had front-wheel drive Dacia, so it was a bit difficult to get there. If you go, lease a 4x4 for sure. We only wanted a day trip on camels, so we arrived by car. There are many camps that you can visit on a multi-day trip on camels deeper in the desert, however, if you only want a day trip on camels and have car, this is a must-visit. Personnel superb, food superb Bathroom facilities better than most hotels, in the tent (available outside of tent as well - they have public bathrooms) They booked a day trip on camels. We wanted to try this limited version before going on a multiple day trip on camels. I suggest telling them that you don't want to spend 4h on the lunch break. It's too long. 2h of break is enough. You go about 2h on camels' backs and then back after lunch. This camp was top 2 experiences we had in morocco. If you want larger and more iconic sand dunes, visit Merzouga. The dunes here are small, yet beautiful"

There is a lot of mice. One mouse bit me in sleep to my finger. Before you go to bed, don't bring any food into the tent and put the door-mat behind the doors so mice don't have a way in. If you come during winter, bring a sleeping bag, it was very cold. They had 5 blankets though. I suggest, when there's cold, that one person sleeps in sleeping bag, one with blankets.

"I had such a great stay at Lac Castor! My hut was right on the lake and was well stocked with firewood and cooking utensils. It was a little more off-grid than I expected. It seems as though the huts lighting works from solar power only so the lights did start to cut out in the evening, there isn't much/any cell service and there weren't outlets to be able to charge my phone. The communal toilets however did have working outlets that could be used. But I would 100% stay here again! The site is absolutely beautiful and so peaceful. Being able to take a canoe out onto the lake at sunset was just magic! And the staff are so friendly. I would highly recommend staying here!"

It would be nice to have more power to the huts, but I was very happy with it nonetheless.

Not a problem with the campsite: there is 8 km unpaved road only to this place.

"The location is so beautiful -- so many birds and their songs; the stars at night are stunning. It is so peaceful there, a perfect place to unplug and relax. Manolo is awesome and what he is doing is really special."

"Very isolated location in nature, but course enough to get to Groningen. There a window that you can look at the stars at with when you’re lying in bed!"

"It’s really nice stay here 6 night, it very chill and all the greens and trees around you, it’s very relaxing!"

It’s very nature so you will see geckos in the room, they don’t bother you but it’s quite big one which it a bit scary

"Great set up, breakfast, it poured with rain one night and the tent was dry as a bone. Dog loved it. Didn’t use the swimming pool but looked good for families. Good showers and communal cooking facilities."

"WOW! What an experience our stay here was. Right from the main gate, seeing animals as you drive in, right through the checking out, everything was beautiful. The staff made everything perfect with their hospitality, and attending to each and every single need we had. Would love to stay there longer next time, and really take it all in."
