Campgrounds in Austria

"Location was close enough to downtown Lisbon (we had a car, which I recomment for this place) and yet with a nice forest ambiance - so you're in the woods but close to everything. The bungalow size and layout were sufficient and infrastructure worked."

Some finishings and surfaces are getting a bit deteriorated but still looking fine. There were a few insects that could get into my bedroom on the last night.

Too many mosquitoes, although not at their fault, it is more of the kind of environment that calls for it, aside from that a very small part of the cabin was leaking, thankfully nothing that affected our stay but still noticeable

"Wonderful location, surrounded by lush forests, great for hiking, friendly staff, with a bus stop at the camp site it is conveniently located for day trips into Luxemburg City and other places to visit."

The tipi tent was great but perhaps less suitable for rainy days.

Fans are not part of the facilities though in the hot nights we had these days, you do need one to sleep properly. I was lucky to get one from Enote, this was not the case for everyone

"What an amazing adventure. We were picked up by a driver provided by Camp Mars from a hotel in Tozeur, where we could leave our rental car. You drive almost 3 hours deep into the Sahara and there it is. A large tent where you will be served dinner and breakfast and several tents to sleep in. Our tent had two beds and its own bathroom. However, we used the shared bathrooms, since they had flushing toilets and running water. In the tents you have to make do with very limited water. The dinner was great, the staff were friendly but the location is absolutely unbeatable. This was our first time in the desert and the experience was unique. The dunes around the camp are stunning, the starry sky was absolutely incredible and just sitting in front of a fire in the middle of the desert was a unique experience. I cannot recommend it enough!"

It got very cold during the night but you are provided with several blankets. I would, however, not go to sleep without some kind of pullover on. Also the toilets in the tents might not be up to everyone's liking.

"The Camp itself was super. We're probably coming back. P.S. The noise of nearby clubs can be a bit loud if you're an early going sleeper ... but I don't blame Camp for it! You get used to it and try to enjoy your vacation as much as possible, and there is definitely a thing for everyone to enjoy in Soline Camp. 😎"

If you mind a bit of noise at night, you better look for something else ... 😅

"Oh my god, what a WONDERFUL place! Takes glamping to a whole new level! Every inch in this place is so thought through. The details are amazing. All the utilities, everything you need to have a fire, cook dinner , sauna! We couldn’t stop exploring this beautiful place. Don’t even hesitate to, book it for sure!! Once in a lifetime experience."

"We made use of the campsite. The food was amazing and we were very happy to make use of the outdoor shower and having our hiking clothes washed. Back on the trail feeling refreshed! The hosts were very welcoming and made us feel right at home. Would definitely recommend this place!"

"Easily accessible at the center of town, close to bus stops. The host provided a lot of amenities, such as bathroom items and some snacks and water to ease a late arrival. Spacious main room, a hallway with clothes hanger and mirror, and a spacious bathroom with shower, tub, and washer."

"We had a nice one night stay on our small trip from Oulu, Finland, with a friend group of 4. Cottage was of good quality and beds were comfortable. Lovely area also: frozen river and beautiful sceneries <3"

We were a little sad as we visited Sweden on purpose to speak Swedish, but the staff didn't speak Swedish at all :((

"What was most striking was the communal spirit which was celebrated among the guests. You're not just staying in your hut, you are having breakfast and dinner together and exchange experiences. The octopus dish for dinner was fantastic. Coffee is readily available. Water, beer, and soft drinks for sale at fair prices. While the owner was away, the temporary host did a great job managing and making everyone feel included and informed. There is a viewing platform of the Pico. The beach is crossed by a river from where you also have a great vantage point. Needs to be low tide to cross. Love the outdoor showers. Thanks to solar panels, there is always electricity. Good distance to Porto Alegre for visiting Ilhéu das Rolas as a day trip. They can arrange for a hike to the base of the Pico."

For a couple like us, there is only the choice between a two person hut without attached bathroom or a four person hut with. We really wanted to have an attached toilet, so we had to book a four person hut which is of course quite more expensive. It would have been ideal to have a two person hut, small is OK, but with attached toilet. Shower wouldn't even be necessary, because we preferred the outdoor showers. Just a toilet and small sink would be enough. There is internet, but it's less reliable than other reviewers painted it to be. It's one small pocket router for the whole premise. During the day it was in the main hut and at night in guest huts, but never close enough to our hut. Still for São Tomé and far away from any towns, it was quite decent.

"This is a campground with caravans, yurts, and rooms in the village of Bashi. There is excellent access to the Altyn-Emel ranger station to buy park permits and to the roads leading to the Altyn-Emel national park sites. We really liked the evening communal dinners with local traditional food. It was fun meeting the other campers. Hakim was an exceptional host - he is energetic, cheerful, and always available to answer questions. The brand new, modern restrooms and showers were exceptionally clean and functional with lots of hot water."

"It was just amazing. The huts were nice & cosy & comfortable. The communal facility was very good, with good facilities & a log fired stove. The next morning Mary had a lovely selection of freshly home made breads, fruits, yoghurts, fresh organic eggs, but the highlight for us was the amazing freshly foraged mushrooms was such a treat, provided by Mary, it was very thoughtful, you don't get that anywhere. An amazing place, will return again."

Everything closed quiete early, the light in the room was quite dim so it was difficult to do anything in the evening.

"Amazing location with beautiful views and tranquil surroundings. Wonderful staff; really attentive and courteous. They were even happy to prepare a very early breakfast for me, before I hit the road. A rustic vibe - and a fan was provided to keep me cool during the night. If you're travelling by motorbike, driving north a ways from the hotel is an amazing experience too - and a change of pace from the highway."

Slightly tough to actually find the place, as the sign was partially hidden by grass. (But the remote location could also be seen as a plus?) Also, the staff didn't appear to have been informed about my booking, so they seemed somewhat surprised by my arrival? (But they more than made up for that with a quick reaction and delightfully attentive service.)

The hot water was not stable. It should have been better if there was a hairdryer, too.
