Campgrounds in Bulgaria

"A very authentic experience, with typical Mongolian food and a real traditional ger. The manager was very helpful in setting up activities and transportation and speaks good English. We especially enjoyed the home visit and the Eagle."

Beds are pretty hard—I was glad I had a camping mattress with me. Showers were hot but low pressure. It’s not a luxury resort but it was wonderfully relaxing.

"Comfortable rooms, very friendly and competent staff. Game drive and Chobe River cruise organized by the lodge highly recommended. Excellent base for excursions along the Chobe River Front."

The dogs and puppies they had were extremely friendly. Sometimes even too friendly, so it was partly hard doing stuff outside on your own (read a book, eat, ...) because they always wanted attention and wanted to get pet.

"Really nice getaway place. Calm area, beautiful beach, not crowded. Caravans are old but still do their magic. Was a great experience to stay a night there."

At the beginning it smelled humidity/mold, but with a/c working it was gone

The hot water was not stable. It should have been better if there was a hairdryer, too.

"Nice hut with plenty of amenities (tea/toaster/fridge/A/C) Would recommend the first (closet to road) or third (back) if you plan to use jacuzzi. There is a boat lunch to look over lake less than 5 minutes walk. Staff was communicative and breakfast was excellent. Watched our best sunset of Paraguay over the lake."

A bit remote. Obviously your own car useful. The huts are set back from the water and other than boat launch, we didn’t see any common access. Water has green algae on the lake (in February), so not swimming water. There are handful of restaurants on main road I believe, but slow 5-10 minutes walk drive.

Too many mosquitoes, although not at their fault, it is more of the kind of environment that calls for it, aside from that a very small part of the cabin was leaking, thankfully nothing that affected our stay but still noticeable

"We had a nice one night stay on our small trip from Oulu, Finland, with a friend group of 4. Cottage was of good quality and beds were comfortable. Lovely area also: frozen river and beautiful sceneries <3"

We were a little sad as we visited Sweden on purpose to speak Swedish, but the staff didn't speak Swedish at all :((

"A nice bush escape. Love the wild landscaping. A variety of room types to fit every taste profile. Tasty food reasonably priced."

Coming from Nakuru, the Google pin got us quite lost! Fortunately, we were able to figure the route out.

"nice location in village type neighborhood quiet walkable distance to the dunes the tents are neat beds are comfortable bathroom has hot water and clean the whole area the food is very fine with the vegetarian option as well the host is a very nice helpful humble man you can rely on him without any fear"

"What an amazing adventure. We were picked up by a driver provided by Camp Mars from a hotel in Tozeur, where we could leave our rental car. You drive almost 3 hours deep into the Sahara and there it is. A large tent where you will be served dinner and breakfast and several tents to sleep in. Our tent had two beds and its own bathroom. However, we used the shared bathrooms, since they had flushing toilets and running water. In the tents you have to make do with very limited water. The dinner was great, the staff were friendly but the location is absolutely unbeatable. This was our first time in the desert and the experience was unique. The dunes around the camp are stunning, the starry sky was absolutely incredible and just sitting in front of a fire in the middle of the desert was a unique experience. I cannot recommend it enough!"

It got very cold during the night but you are provided with several blankets. I would, however, not go to sleep without some kind of pullover on. Also the toilets in the tents might not be up to everyone's liking.

"Hebert is the best host! Super welcoming, he's gonna tell you where to go and what to do on his beautiful island and trust me he's ready and knows what's he's doing. Also important to mention as a solo lady I felt comfortable and secure. If you're looking for an affordable stay it's the place to go in Aruba. Aruba Backpackers I'll be back !"

"The property is right on the forest and beach so wonderful forest paths to discover nearby. The staff were super friendly and helpful, giving us a lift into town when we were tired after a long day of biking."

The room was a bit small for two people, with a double bed against the wall.

"Bell tent was fab, better than expected with comfy, warm space, convenient plugs even! Felt more premium than I think we paid! Fantastic little close kitchen separate from main campsite was a great touch with awesome bbq facilities, stargazing, short walk from lakefront plus a great sauna much better than the queenstown one. Great to see kids having fun all over the site. Will definitely be back."

Closest toilet was portaloo and bit difficult to acces in dark sometimes, not my favourite, you can walk back to main site area but when it's middle of night you go to the closest, perhaps they will upgrade this but worth knowing.

The bed in my cabin could've been more comfortable. Not too bad though.

It was hard to find the exact turn off the highway at night - we arrived on the first day of the time change so it was pitch black (earlier than we thought). Construction signage was a little confusing.

Wished the cabins had bathrooms inside.
