"It is located on a beautiful, quiet site, very near the main road and located close to interesting attractions. It is rustic and simple but clean and cozy. The owners Tutu and Tando and their son Zoo were incredibly warm, friendly, and helpful, we love them so much. The food in their little restaurant is GREAT! Try the ox tail!!"

It was very difficult to balance the hot and cold water making it tough to have a comfortable shower. In rural Africa this is forgivable.

The host is a very open minded and approachable person, starting from the moment of booking (communication via messages) until we checked out. Highly recommended if you are on a bicycle tour or just want to run away from a big city for a couple of days! The nice bar at the place is about to open, so will be a perfect place for combining a nature touch with some fun in a circle of friends. Thanks, Ingo, hopefully, we will come back one more time to see how your place grows:)"

"We stayed in the cabin on the water and it was an incredible, unique, once in a lifetime experience. The power was intermittent and no wifi, but this is not a place you stay to sit on the internet. Woke up at 6am with an incredible almost 360 degree view on lake victoria of the sunrise. Totally worth it!"

The food was fine without being outstanding.

"The Queen Suite was comfortable and clean. Breakfast was excellent with a nice variety over the several days we were there. We were able to travel to the different areas on the island in good time from our location. Drew was helpful with local restaurant suggestions for our evening meals."

The shelf above the bed head is rather low and it is very easy to bump into it. The duvet is rather short for an adult.

"A little oasis in its rural setting, the swimming pool is the feature that makes this hidden gem exceptional. The little room was clean and hot water was plentiful. The hosts are friendly and helpful, and it was good to see them again."

The fridge in the room leaked overnight.

Be prepared to use Google Translate a lot to communicate, not necessarily an issue (you are in another country what do you expect) but the booking said English speaking staff.

"Very good location. Close proximity to the Hill of Tara and other sites as well as towns and villages in the area. Excellent accommodation, very clean. Attentive and accommodating stuff on site. We were moved by a thoughtful details like a welcoming gift basket with fresh eggs, milk, butter and other goodies. The owners also equipped the property with all the necessities required for a comfortable stay, like an umbrella, picnic basket, and other lovely things. We felt welcomed and would certainly love to come back and stay at decoy cottages again. The local kitty Rona stole our hearts. Totally welcoming, beautiful ginger lap kitty!"

A bit more natural light in the Tack Room would not hurt. The rooms, while cozy appeared to be a bit dark. Perhaps throwing ambient floor lamps or wall chandeliers would be a good idea.
