Campgrounds in New Zealand

"Malý rodinný kemp. Majitel příjemný, ochotný. Večer posezení u pivka, kdo chtěl, tak i s večeří. Bazén k dispozici večer i ráno. Naprostý klid a uvolnění. Spali jsme ve svém autě. K snídani vejce, uzeniny, sýr, rajče.. vše domácí a naprosto úžasná švestková marmeláda."

A bit difficult to find the location because of lack of signage

"Location is perfect for a nature getaway. The room is quite spacious, has everything you'd need. The surroundings are cozy and relaxing. I would love to come back and stay longer."

"The camping is an amazing green, natural location, where you can enjoy the nature at its fullest. Yves and Malika are very kindhearted and welcoming people, that gave us a feeling of immediately feeling welcome. The tents/beds are comfortable, although the strong winds let it shake strongly, but everything went well. You can make a nice hike down to the river."

In the morning we had no electricity and that is quite necessary for charging phones. There was only one warm cover and one sofa set, which makes it difficult to use when there are also other people around. An extra sofa and some extra warm covers would come in handy, while it is quite fresh at night.

"We had a great stay at Moonys! Fernando is an amazing host who made everything possible. He even picked us up or organized transport when we needed it. We immediatly felt more like family than guests. The chalet is a beautiful place: clean and neat, and in the middle of nowhere. It is very quiet and a perfect place to relax."

There's nothing we didnt like. However you should consider transport: if you dont come with your own car, you depend on Fernando and you need to count in money, time and organization for commuting to wherever you wanna go. Taxis might not go all the way up to the chalet because its a dirt road. There's no supermarkets or restaurants close enough to walk to.

The place is convenient to every type of visitors.

"Everything was excellent, clean rooms, comfy bed, clean bathroom and the host was great. They helped us to get to know the area, told us what we can do or not do and many many advices. The greatest thing is that the is very remote at the countryside and they have quad bikes for rent. Believe me, there is the best place where you ever rode a quad bike."

"The possibility to be in a quiet environment and surround by amazing scenery. BBQ place is great, to cook a stake in fire. The homes are spacious and warm inside."

The bathtub was a small one, considering all the extra space they have. Could have put a normal bathtub. Also the sofa was extremely old.

"Location was great - 5-10 min walk to the beach (through a park), staff were very helpful and the (my words) beach hut I stayed in was compact and comfortable. Some people moan there isn't a kettle - I like an early coffee so bought one for €9 in town (10 min walk away along main road or can just go round seafront - 15 mins). Amenities block was ok - perfectly usable - if you want the Ritz go and stay in the......Cafe block with shop was great, nice pizza, and Super Bock beer for €2.50....for what I paid all in all great value. Would add photos on booking are an accurate representation, not always the case!"

Only quibble was another guest's dog just allowed to bark non stop at times - it was clearly a big dog, and although I love dogs, 3-4 hours of "wuh-wuh-wuh-wuh-wuh' every time someone walks past was grating, esp in the evening. Staff were aware but I guess what can you do if the owners think this is fine?

"Hebert is the best host! Super welcoming, he's gonna tell you where to go and what to do on his beautiful island and trust me he's ready and knows what's he's doing. Also important to mention as a solo lady I felt comfortable and secure. If you're looking for an affordable stay it's the place to go in Aruba. Aruba Backpackers I'll be back !"
