Campgrounds in Thailand

"Really nice getaway place. Calm area, beautiful beach, not crowded. Caravans are old but still do their magic. Was a great experience to stay a night there."

At the beginning it smelled humidity/mold, but with a/c working it was gone

The place is convenient to every type of visitors.

At this price you need to expect a basic accommodation, which it is. Do yourself a favour and rent a scooter right from the beginning of your stay. The scooters rental is not really close to the resort so best you go there with the bus and then drive up to the accommodation with the scooter.

"Bell tent was fab, better than expected with comfy, warm space, convenient plugs even! Felt more premium than I think we paid! Fantastic little close kitchen separate from main campsite was a great touch with awesome bbq facilities, stargazing, short walk from lakefront plus a great sauna much better than the queenstown one. Great to see kids having fun all over the site. Will definitely be back."

Closest toilet was portaloo and bit difficult to acces in dark sometimes, not my favourite, you can walk back to main site area but when it's middle of night you go to the closest, perhaps they will upgrade this but worth knowing.

"We had a great stay at Moonys! Fernando is an amazing host who made everything possible. He even picked us up or organized transport when we needed it. We immediatly felt more like family than guests. The chalet is a beautiful place: clean and neat, and in the middle of nowhere. It is very quiet and a perfect place to relax."

There's nothing we didnt like. However you should consider transport: if you dont come with your own car, you depend on Fernando and you need to count in money, time and organization for commuting to wherever you wanna go. Taxis might not go all the way up to the chalet because its a dirt road. There's no supermarkets or restaurants close enough to walk to.

"The camping is an amazing green, natural location, where you can enjoy the nature at its fullest. Yves and Malika are very kindhearted and welcoming people, that gave us a feeling of immediately feeling welcome. The tents/beds are comfortable, although the strong winds let it shake strongly, but everything went well. You can make a nice hike down to the river."

In the morning we had no electricity and that is quite necessary for charging phones. There was only one warm cover and one sofa set, which makes it difficult to use when there are also other people around. An extra sofa and some extra warm covers would come in handy, while it is quite fresh at night.

"The possibility to be in a quiet environment and surround by amazing scenery. BBQ place is great, to cook a stake in fire. The homes are spacious and warm inside."

The bathtub was a small one, considering all the extra space they have. Could have put a normal bathtub. Also the sofa was extremely old.

"Staff are helpful, friendly, and accommodating. Food servings are in large portion that I struggle to finish it."

The shower exhaust fan was weak, so after a hot shower there will be water condensation everywhere in the bathroom.

"I loved the views of the mountains and the dead sea. The sunrise 🌅 was so beautiful. Great staff and loved the vibes."

I booked late , so I was far from the restrooms.

"Wonderful campsite - everything was thoughtfully arranged and super clean. It exceeded my expectations. The owners were very welcoming and made sure everything was perfect. I’d definitely stay longer next time to enjoy the lovely property."

"The property was cozy and clean. Cabin was nice and warm on cold days. Clean bathrooms! Really lovely to stay here. It’s a camp but I stayed for business. Service was extremely friendly and the breakfast was unreal. Pick your pannenkoenen and enjoy. I mean just a fantastic way to start the day."

Bathrooms are detached and a little cramped, but that is really what was advertised and also it’s supposed to be a camp, so having a warm shower is actually a bonus. Reminder they are nice and clean. I didn’t feel a need for shower shoes, it was cleaner than my hotel bathroom that I stayed in the night before.

"We made use of the campsite. The food was amazing and we were very happy to make use of the outdoor shower and having our hiking clothes washed. Back on the trail feeling refreshed! The hosts were very welcoming and made us feel right at home. Would definitely recommend this place!"
