"I had a fantastic experience staying at the Cactus hotel. The owner was super friendly - I got in contact with her before arriving and she helped connect me to folks to coordinate tours and answer questions I had. The morning I arrived I was greeted and allowed to check into my room early. They provide 24/7 coffee, tea and filtered water which is a nice perk. The room itself was comfortable and came with a mini fridge that I came to appreciate. Each day my room was cleaned with towels replaced. The included breakfast was also great - the owners would prepare eggs to order, and there was an assortment of bread with jam, cheese and ham as well as juice and coffee. 10/10 recommendation from me on value and the hosts couldn't be nicer or more helpful!"

"The proprietor was helpful (in English and Spanish), the staff was terrific, they went beyond by getting us into our room early and holding our bags until it was ready. We really enjoyed our stay, it was a convenient walk to places to eat and the water. The area to rinse sand, wetsuits, and water shoes was so helpful."

"husband and wife owned and run. Excellent customer service. Great communication. The location is perfect to walk to any activity. The entire island is safe. The property is safe, clean, and well appointed. The beds are comfortable. The rooms have refrigerators and a safe as well as towels, toiletries and hairdryer. they have a breakfast with eggs, bread, and fruit every morning. If you have an excursion that takes you out before the breakfast begins at 7:30, you just let them know the day before and they have a continental breakfast ready for you This is by far the nicest Hostal I have ever stayed in and is an absolute great bang for the buck. I would recommend this for anyone traveling on a budget."
