"The hotel was charming with that old world charm. Cozy and warm vibe. Very quiet. The breakfast was wonderful. Rooms clean and comfortable. Loved the shower, it had the best water flow. Its near haymarket. Quiet and nice part of town."
"Our remote was missing and room wasn't ready even though it was after 3PM."
"I loved the aesthetics and vibes of the place, and the history was really cool. The breakfast was great too! I also enjoyed using the library in the evenings to get some work done."
"It’s a me problem, not a property problem, but the air fresheners after a couple of days caused me to sneeze and develop some low grade allergies."
"the room was amazing, the bathroom was spotless, the views insane!!!! And the breakfast???? UNREAL, 10/10."
"I can´t say anything bad."
"The property was absolutely gorgeous! The staff was so friendly and the food was great!"
"The elevator they had was super slow and it was relatively inconvenient to travel up and down the stairs. There were bus stops about a 10 minute walk away, which wasn’t too terrible"
"Great price and location. Staff super sweet. We had great room with a view. Love library and bar area. Didn’t try breakfast. Really enjoyed our stay"

"Breakfast all you could wish for from fruit to fry-up, staff ran to-and-fro for us and were very friendly all the time. Room sleeping under the skylight [Rm 119] was 'thrilling' - fell asleep watching the moon and the stars! Location was beautiful, tranquil, almost no traffic noise, handy for the bus and tram, walking distance to Dean Village, Water of Leith, Modern One and Two, Haymarket, city centre ... FAB-U-LOUS! And of course the whole building was classically beautiful, for example I just could have spent the days reading in the Library."
"I didn't dislike anything."
"The property was beautiful, located on a quiet street! Room was small, but very comfortable. We had a nice view! Breakfast was descent! They also had a small menu you could order off of!"
"A bit removed from town center! The lack of electrical outlets in the room! Made it tough to blow dry my hair, especially when phones needed charging!!"
"Steps away from Dean Village. Walking distance from most sights and easy access to tour busses."

"All the staff were very helpful and very friendly. The proprietress Anne goes out of her way to help."
"It’s a lovely house and the landlords made the family feel at home the minute we stepped in. Double room for us downstairs and two adjacent bedrooms for our teenage children upstairs. Another couple was staying and we shared the drawing room/bar with them to watch the semi finals of Euro 2024. Very clean and pleasant home, great breakfast, good hiking, a few minutes by car to the beach."
