Family-run Stratos Guesthouse is centrally placed in picturesque Afitos, within a 15-minute walk of the beach. It features an outdoor swimming outdoor pool, children’s plunge pool and outdoor pool bar. Wi-Fi is free in public areas. "The hotel has an excellent location and friendly staff, which contributed to a pleasant stay. A younger lady at the front desk was particularly helpful, providing great recommendations for restaurants and places to enjoy good food. Her insights made our dining experiences memorable. The room was exceptionally clean upon arrival, and housekeeping did a great job maintaining it throughout our stay. Fresh linens were provided regularly, which added to the overall comfort. The distant sea view from the room was nice. The breakfast offered at the hotel was satisfactory. There was a decent variety of options, and we appreciated the quality of the food served."
"One of the main drawbacks was the lack of a central air conditioning system. The air conditioning unit can only be turned on when you arrive at the room. This meant that if we returned late from the beach, the room was quite stuffy and took some time to cool down, which was uncomfortable."

"We really enjoyed our stay at Stratos hotel and everything was incredible - the staff, the location, the breakfast, the cleanliness of the rooms, the pool, the parking + we had a nice view from our balcony. Breakfast was generous with 4 warm meals changing each day, also with fruit every day and home made cakes and even tiramisu. Еvery day our room is cleaned with clean towels and sheets. The location is perfect because the hotel is in the city center of Afitos but still very calm (also at night), close to the beach and main road (if you travel by bus). The center of Afitos is full with cozy taverns (we liked To Palio Rementzo best) with delicious food and shops. We walked to the beach aprox 17 min because it is close but you can go with car down too. The staff was very friendly and professional - they helped us to organize taxi transfer, car hire form local company and gave us a beach umbrella too :) . This hotel exceeded our expectations and we would love to come again!"

"It's my second stay at this hotel, and I am as impressed as the first time. We had a large 2 room apartment, with 2 bathrooms (and when you are travelling with 2 kids this is an amazing bonus), which you could tell it was freshly renovated, with 1 king bed in one room and 2 twin beds in the second room. Plenty of space to move around and plenty of storage space. I cannot stress enough the accent this location puts on cleanness. All spaces and rooms are cleaned daily, fresh towels every day, you name it. The pool is great, with depths that vary, so it can feet all needs - the small kids pools is amazing if you are travelling with small children. Staff: there is not even a conversation - the best in Afitos! One more thing: A great selection of holiday books is available at the reception - try it out!"

"Quiet hotel, nice and helpful staff, tasty breakfast, close to the beach, perfect for families. If you have a car, the hotel has good position to start you trips to western Krete. There is a sandy beach which is used by turtles to lay eggs. During august you may be lucky to see the young ones to hatch from the eggs. We have seen one. :-)"

"The hotel staff is incredibly kind and always ready to help. The facilities are fantastic — clean, well maintained, and very family-oriented. They even cooked fresh food for our baby every day and delivered it right on time with a smile! The food is excellent, and there’s a great variety of activities for both kids and adults. Having a supermarket inside the hotel is super convenient for last-minute needs like sunscreen or diapers. There’s also a car rental service and several tour operators on-site offering nice excursion packages. We loved the thoughtful touches, like the welcome basket with wine and fruits and the olive oil farewell gift. The bus to Chania stops right in front of the hotel, and the little train excursion to the lake is a perfect morning activity. The hotel app is also very useful — it has all the information you need for your stay."

"Very nice modern apartment with all the amenities including air conditioning and washing machine, which was very helpful. It is located in about 100 meters from the beach in a small town of Vonitsa. It is not far from Lefkada, about 20 minutes by car. The host is very nice and even left some snacks for our breakfast on the first day. The bakery is next door, which is also very helpful."
