Sunset Hotel

"We needed one night in the area in October and the Sunset Hotel was just right for a late arrival and early departure. Had a small bite at restaurant when we arrived after 9pm. Bare bones room was comfortable and clean. The owner is a delight to to talk with about the region, and was especially helpful to me with contacts for some of my distant relatives in the area."

"Stayed here at the beginning of low season, and really enjoyed some peace and quiet. The staff of the hotel and the restaurant were very nice and polite, helpful with every aspect of the stay. The room was clean and comfortable, cleaned every day, having everything a person would need. The hotel is on the beach, with free parking in the yard, easily accessible. No complaints whatsoever. Will come back for sure."

"Amazing location, the beach just outside the premise. The pier outside the hotel in which people , cars Trucks. Motor bikes, bicycles all used . The beautiful gulf , the swimming right outside your door was breathtaking. The owners were so friendly, caring, hospitable . The food they had at this family hotel was fantastic! The chef knew how to cook. I can’t say enough about this location! Loved it!"

"Nothing I didn’t like really but they could improve on shower and bathroom by improving the water removal while showering. The drain was not large enough or floor not slanted enough to get rid of water while showering and it would go all over bathroom floor. This made everything slippery and wet. Not good. Also not enough counter space to put make up, toiletries, daily medicines in bathroom . Could add shelves under vanity bowel or above. Loved this room and bathroom but really needed to function better. Also electrical light switch did not work proper as to get the dimmer lights on o er bed you had to use the big main light to have them work. To say the least we did not want the bright room light to be on while reading to go to sleep. Think they r working to improve this. I would still recommend this wonderful location and hotel. So happy with it!"

"A great seaside location, with stunning views across the Argolic gulf waters to Nafplio and the mountains. The staff were exceptional and friendly, felt like part of the family. Home cooked evening meals outstanding. Parking available all around the property."

"A family business, with friendly staff, ready to support. The owner is an artist and the room has beautiful artworks. The sunrise is beautiful over the sea. The restaurant has traditional food. If you search for a quick place with the beautiful sound of waves, this is the place. I highly recommend it."

"The beach is small with pebbles. But at 10 km it is a beautiful beach with sand."

"Hotel is located on the seaside. Fantastic place for observation of sunset. Beach is small rocky however very nice and silent. Rooms well equipped with big balcony. Parking available in the hotel."

"Xiropigado is small quiet village. Ancient places, Epidaurus, Mycenae, Mystras etc. as well as nice town Nafplio are not so far from this place (in a circle about 40 - 50 km, Nafplio 10 km). Hotel Sunset is nice, quiet hotel. The best thing about Xiropigado and hotel Sunset is that there is no crowd. Hotel and restaurant are 10 meters from the sea."

"I returned here after 11 years. Because then I liked it very much. Almost everything was the same, only the hotel would require some renovations. If you want to really feel Greece and especially the Greeks, this is the right place and hotel. I hope I can come back here someday."

"Perfect location, right on the beach. Very friendly staff - family run business. Large rooms, very clean with excellent balcony, bathroom, and air-con. Breakfast was nice. Great restaurant for lovely seafood dinners. Highly recommend. Close to Mycenae and Elona Monastery for day visit"
