"The location on the peninsula was great- quieter than being on the island and close to other interesting sites like the recently discovered Mayan ruins than are now being excavated. It was perfect for relaxing. The host and staff were all very friendly and helpful. Breakfast and dinner were available on site and there were also a couple of other restaurants close by."
"Aucun."
"The staff were absolutely incredible, going above and beyond. It's clear they work very hard, and we appreciate everything they did for us. They were always willing to answer our questions and were patient with our terrible Spanish. Eric especially worked very hard and was very gracious."
"It was a bit of a pain needing to get a boat ride back and forth to the mainland, costing about 10Q/person each way. If you leave frequently, that definitely adds up."
"We loved the staff, the fun of getting to and from the hotel via boat, and the ease of tours booked through the hotel. Great breakfast and views as well."
"Water pressure in one room was inconsistent"
"This place was incredible!! Peter and Erick were such wonderful hosts and made our time in Flores so special. It was cheap and easy to take a boat taxi across the water to Flores Island (as long as you get someone’s number to let them know when you are ready, we recommend Julio!). This place is also walking distance from the archaeological center, the Mirador watch point, and the beach. There are maps showing where everything is at the hotel. The food was wonderful, and there is a self serve fridge with beer and sodas. The pool was refreshing as well on the hot and humid days. Finally, we were able to book a Tikal tour through Erick at the hotel as well."
"This has nothing to do with the hotel specifically, but be prepared for power outages across the whole area. This happened twice, and we were not able to do laundry at the hotel as well as AC and shower going out due to loss of power."
"The hotel is located in the village of San Miguel across Lake Peten. The area is calm with abundant lush green, tropical trees and monkeys. Great place to rest and explore the area. Breakfast is not included but is a la carte with a very reasonable price. The staff was great and ready to help with anything we needed. There are two small markets close by as well as a couple restaurants. To go to Isla Flores it requires a 10min ride by boat. The hotel provides transportation for a small fee. The swimming pool is small but a plus after a long day exploring around"
"We did not have hot water in the shower although not really needed with the hot humid weather of the area."
"The property is beautiful, comfortable, and clean :)"

"It's beautiful with its handcrafted, artistic flare. The many patios and seating arrangements about the property invite exploration and viewing enjoyment. Breakfast is served every morning. Lunch and dinner are by request. We were pleasantly surprised by the sumptuous dinner we shared."

"The location of the hotel is absolutely amazing, with amazing views, an amazingly helpful staff and a great breakfast menus."
"The only problem I had was sometimes at night if it was too late the water to the bathroom sink and shower would be turned off, which you have to wait until the morning to use. This may be to conserve water though as the island is small and I was the only person at the hotel at the time."
"Pluses: Gorgeous views just like in the pictures Easy access to ferry to get there. I actually preferred staying in this side of Flores as opposed to the old town because this side is calmer, more friendly and has much to offer for sightseeing and local color. The archeological excavation site for another buried Mayan city where you can watch the dig happening in real time A gorgeous Mayan museum not too far from the dig Walk to the beach and the viewpoint, we didn’t do the view point as the view from the hotel was stunning Cold AC, cold soft drinks and beer at very reasonable prices Amazing staff, very friendly. From boat pickup to restaurant staff Laundry service at reasonable price"
"There are stairs in case you have mobility issues."
"I liked the comfort of the hotel and the small amenities present, especially the air conditioning. Having to take boat rides in and out of this spot added to the value I’d say. Noel or Noah was absolutely delightful; he was a phenomenal host during our stay and showed really effort to get to know the guests. His people skills were great, give him a raise. Him and Eric ran this operation to a T."
"It wasn’t necessarily the property I didn’t like, more so the road leading up to the property after disembarking the boat was quite treacherous by foot and especially golf cart."

"Incredible location - you can walk to Tikun ruins from the hotel. Although it was a common bathroom, it was very clean. Each shower and bath had their own small room. Enjoyed sitting at the bar for dinner."

Avis de Lorenzo Mansión Los Guichos
"The host Veronica was very attentive and gave great recommendations on restaurants, things to do, and where to go. She even let me choose my room. The property is situated a little far from the center but it’s beautiful and with the nice view of the mountain, well worth it. Also, the bed was the most comfy out of all of the places I’ve stayed."
Avis de Kay Chez Daniel
"Arriving at the location seemed quite busy but as soon as you enter the hotel it is another world! It is a tidy place with nice tradional interior arrangements. The room is average but don't expect A/C. Good breakfast selection with quality ingredients. Helpful staff. Good value in a town of somewhat limited options."
