The dining area was very bright at night, which attracted more bugs. Low light and soft music would be nice, but this is a personal preference.

When booking on here, It wasn't too clear about the extra cost of breakfast and also when we arrived, the receptionist told us what time this was but then when we came down for it the next morning, said we had not booked. Needs to be clear on check in and booked then. It would have perhaps been good to have been informed about the wedding taking place when we were there.

"The staff was excellent and very accommodating. We had minor issues and they sorted it out as best as possible for us to have a wonderful stay. The property is well maintained and all is very clean. The area is very quiet and relaxing."

There's not much to not like, The pool was being filled but we still got some water time and they really made us feel like we were at home. Food needs to be ordered ahead of time, which is fine.

The shower didn’t work properly, but that can be easily fixed.

The house is from 1580 so very old inside you can feel the big walls and up to date renovations. Home made food, very good and good breakfast.

За една-две нощи е ОК, но за по-дълга ваканция за двама не е за предпочитане. Би било добре да се постави закачалка за връхни дрехи (към момента липсва).

"Kathy and Luke (her husband) are incredible people. Very helpful and their guest house is simple but clean and have everything you need: kitchen, fan, hot water, privacy l. I pick these guesthouse because was close to the dive shop and I could walk in the morning to it."

"Lovely, very clean place. Well located just up from the ferry piers. Associated with the Hotel Narsaq, so good breakfast there if part of your rate. And staff there always willing to help with questions, etc. Plenty warm, comfortable beds, big windows, pleasant common area, including nice wood deck with view when weather is favorable. Well equipped kitchen."

Not a problem for me on this stay, but I can see, as others have indicated, two bathrooms could be a problem if house were full, bc shower, sink, toilet are together. One couple monopolized lower level bathroom in the a.m., but I was able to go upstairs.

The only drawback was the heater kept switching off & I had to get the staff to turn it on a few times

The location isn’t the best, but far from restaurants and center (30mins walk max, it’s ok during winter but won’t be so enjoyable during summer)

The cleanliness and the condition of furniture need an upgrade! The cabinet needs to be ripped out and replaced, stove and items need a deep clean and shower needs a proper shower head sorta spittled as opposed to showered.

Tout était appréciable, au niveau de l’emplacement et pour l’espace d’ensemble. La piscine a un petit problème de fuite d’où un niveau de hauteur d’eau un peu bas. Ceci n’a que très peu altéré le plaisir de s’y être baigné.

"I really enjoyed my stay here - it was the perfect escape from the tourist crowds and offered a much more local, authentic side of Bali. As a solo traveler, I appreciated the peace and quiet, while still being close enough to explore. Yoga was especially helpful during my stay, always available with great recommendations for places to visit and eat. "Great location, close enough to walk into centre of town to explore, lovely hosts and they made a lovely breakfast each morning. Everywhere was kept warm and toasty, great big shared bathroom downstairs and an extra kettle to make hot drinks! Would definitely stay again when visiting!"

My room was a small single on the ground floor and I could hear the road noise outside, but that was my choice because I prefer to have the window open for fresh air even in winter!

"Julian was a magnificent host. He helped me arrange an excellent taxi driver who got me to the airport safely and quickly for less money than I was expecting. I got mugged (at 11 am) in Georgetown, so be mindful that it isn't the safest place. Don't travel with lots of valuables on you. I was able to fight off my attackers, so I kept the money and phone I was carrying. Anyway, Julian was a great place to stay."
