"The personal attention of the wonderful owner stood out for us. He went out of his way to collect us from the ferry and take us to the airport the next day. He provided us with a fabulous breakfast too - the best we’ve had over our whole trip. We loved meeting him and talking to him."

"Well kept clean house. The owner tried really hard to reach Western standard of living (limited by being in the Solomons of course). Solar hot water, large fridge/freezer of 300L plus. 24 hour electricity. No aircon but the house is extremely well ventilated. Open plan big kitchen, 4 burner gas hob, huge lounge with modern couches. 2 rooms + 1 bathroom on each side of the lounge, so totally 4 rooms and 2 bathrooms. Rooms are spacious, clean. Hot water shower! I wish I could share photos but booking.com doesn't have upload button."

1. The cost is per person, not per room, but somehow not clearly displayed on booking.com. 2. This is an isolated house on the water edge, private and peaceful, but 40min walking through muddy path to get to seghe town/Airport although a boat transfer is only 5min. You need to bring all your food in and cook during your stay. 3. You need to enquire about the boat transfer cost, to be clear what trips are included, and what are not, otherwise you will have surprise bill in the end. 4. The water pump stopped during my 2 showers, someone needed to run downstairs to restart the pump so I could finish my showers. 5. There is no mirror in the entire house, and no towel rails in either bathroom. Maybe the owner can install them?

It clearly had once been grandiose, and although it's greatness had faded, it was still stately. I loved the terraces, huge pool, and had a nearby beach to myself. It felt like a movie set from the 60s! It would be the perfect setting for a film. If you enjoy kitsch and want to be out of the fray, book this place. It is a short distance to a fabulous restaurant, Little, and a small grocery store/deli/bakery. Warick Parish is a short bus ride to Hamilton. The owner, Brenda, was raised here and is a font of knowledge about this hotel's history."

It is very cold and badly soundproofed, but this is of course normal for an old creole house. It is a bit irritating and might feel uncomfortable that the guardian sleeps on the veranda (we were later told that he just fell asleep there accidentally, which was certainly not the case), but don't be afraid of him.

I had difficulty locating the guesthouse. I suggest you have a signpost at the entrance of the Junction.

The fridge was located in the common corridor (it had separate shelves assigned to the different rooms). There were lots of mosquitoes, but A/C made it manageable.

"Free pick up from the airport was a very nice perk, thanks so much to the host ho picked me up and waited for me, he also gave me a brief and concise tour on the way, also the place was awesome. Thanks for hosting me, I recommend this place"

My only two cons are: 1) Location, if you have a car you will be ok, if not, well, I am used to walk but the road here does not have much illumination or clean sidewalks, so, be careful 2) Hosts, your WIFI sucks(4MBps); I am in a new hostel and the wifi is exactly as bad as yours, so, for a moment I though this could be the regular wifi speed in the island, is not, on any coffee shop I found WIFI with speed up to 888Mbps.

"The establishment is still in its early stages. The host arrived at the airport to welcome us and guide us to the location. We were their first guests. The place exudes a homely feeling with its neat design and beautiful interior decorations. The place has a small swimming pool, which elevates the ambiance altogether. The host and the staff are very kind and helpful, making our stay very pleasant."

There was nothing to complain about. Everything was perfect :)
