"One of the best places we have ever stayed; we really did not want to leave. Super high quality apartment and very comfortable. Well equipped for a holiday stay (but no oven). Lovely views across the mountains and also down to the lake. Easy walk down to the lake with a nice hotel/restaurant and even a small supermarket at the bottom of the road. About another 20 minutes into the town itself, along the footpath. So great location; peaceful and quiet without the Bled town crowds and traffic."

The hot water system will drive you mad - if, like us, you were brought up not to waste water! And bring your own shower gel etc.

"The location was close to the beach and showed a beautiful view of the water."

I loved the property except it took a while for the living room area to cool down due to the AC only being in the bedrooms

If ur looking for a place to stay in Lubango, look no further seriously...💯"

The bed was a little small.for.the two of us.

"The host and her granddaughter who helped with my stay were amazing. The host picked me up in the city and brought me to St Marys and again to the airport in the morning. The traffic was terrible leaving Quito, I felt sorry for the host dealing with it. I was a little concerned that the dogs and other guests might continue making noise throughout the night but that wasn't the case. You are certainly aware of your proximity to the airport as you can hear planes over head. The 'village' is spotlessly clean and well maintained."

I wish there gad been an option to pay with credit card, but I get it.

"Hosts were super friendly, very helpful and kind. Silvio gave me a ride back to airport when I arrived and needed to pick up my partner (we traveled separately there). The house and the room were nice and clean, huge fridge and well equipped kitchen for the guests to use. Netflix with guest account in the room was a nice extra. Big terrace with sunbeds. The location itself was lovely, locals were friendly and helpful as well. Airport is very close, 40 mins walk or 6 mins with the car."

I know it's not the hosts fault, because there was an issue with the pool due the construction works in the neighborhood the time we're staying there and we couldn't use it. Would have been nice, because the pool itself is pretty big.

"Beautiful, clean and an amazing place to stay which is well worth the price. The property is located in the middle of the island, close to shops, restaurants and bakeries. Mrs. St. Rose is warm and courteous and answered all my questions, she even gave me a tour of the many fruit trees that she has on property. In speaking with her, I found out that there is a 2 bedroom apartment on the premises as well and I was allowed to see it. Now this apartment is stunning, so huge that it can fit at least 8ppl and it has air-conditioning. The property also has a generator which is a plus, this is nice to know for my next trip with my family. I am extremely glad that I did my research and found this place. It is definitely a 10 out of 10."

"The location was excellent near to the bus stops and restaurants. Plenty of places to eat, local and otherwise. Very quiet. The host speaks very good english and was very helpful and informative about things to do and places to go. Great experience overall."

The shower and kitchen taps were taking a bit long to warm up. The bathtub hot water tap worked properly.

"This is an excellent small guesthouse and the hosts are extremely friendly and helpful. Everything was clean and comfortable. The area is very quiet and Bahir Dar is one of the most beautiful cities in Africa. The hosts, Ashenafi and Habtamu, showed us around and made us feel very welcome."

This is a new guesthouse and they are still getting all the facitilties that a western tourist would expect, but everything important was there including shower, cooking facilities, chairs and tables in the patio and a barbeque!

"Very friendly host (Jerry). Clean and good size room. Although we had booked the accommodation with the understanding that we had a private kitchen, we learned upon our arrival that it was a shared kitchen. In the end, the shared kitchen worked out fairly well for us."

No door between washroom and bedroom. Occasional barking dogs during the night. No desk in room (rather than baby crib). Some difficulty finding the exact location when arriving late evening.
