"Everything! The host Mishko was there all the time, on call for everything. We're more than glad that he and his wife waited and assisted with the directions even though we arrived after 10 pm. The house is on the beach, in a quiet neighborhood-terrific if you want to relax. The view of the lake can not be described with words. There is a market at the next street open on Sunday. The place is worth more than the price."

Tout était vraiment parfait. Si nous devons repartir en Guyane nous savons où aller.

"Unmanned hotel. Clear instruction to guests entering the hotel, public kitchen is very good, tidy, floor heating is nice. clear instruction garbage sorting. Near airport."

"Very nice and special place, 15 min from the town (it's a beautiful walk along the beach). Placed tight at the beach. Very beautiful common areas with a great unique vibe. Eggs, onions and garlic for cooking available, coffee too. Andres is always around, very nice and helpful. Great atmosphere. Beautiful stars in the night."

You can only charge your electronic devices if you give them to Andres (which is easy enough though because he is around a lot). And it's understandable given the location of the hostel.

The inn is located on a busy street; light sleepers may not find this place suitable.

Dumbea sur Mer is basically a boring suburb of McMansion houses and a shopping mall.

"Very friendly host (Jerry). Clean and good size room. Although we had booked the accommodation with the understanding that we had a private kitchen, we learned upon our arrival that it was a shared kitchen. In the end, the shared kitchen worked out fairly well for us."

No door between washroom and bedroom. Occasional barking dogs during the night. No desk in room (rather than baby crib). Some difficulty finding the exact location when arriving late evening.

"Everything was so clean, that was very nice. Additionally we got little small shampoo and other hygiene stuff in a little bag, that was cute. The room also was air-conditioned, which is a must in a country like Uzbekistan. The Wi-Fi was good enough as well. I am surprised that the hotel is so cheap relatively to other ones out there."

"We spent a week in Iceland and stayed in different locations throughout. Kosy Vik was by far our favorite. Our host was amazing, so friendly and kind. The space was just what we needed, and the location was perfect! Kosy Vik was able to accommodate us when the weather prevented safe travel back to Reykjavik. Hrund checked on us often, offering homemade treats, making recommendations of food and activities. It was truly a pleasure. Our next visit to Iceland will definitely include a stay at Kosy Vik"

If you are a light sleeper, you might find the noise from the road (10m away) and the railway behind it excessive, as well as noise from the next door neighbours with small kids, etc.

"Beautiful house and garden. Lot of trees. Nice pool. Room was comfortable. Back up generator for powercuts was great. Quiet area, close to the sea. Nice owner."

When arrive, bed sheets were used. We needed to change them ourselves. No cleaning servise. The mainhouse kitchen was only allowed for small cooking like eggs. If wanted to cook food, needed to go outside kitchen. There was no fan or pots, all needed to take there from main kitchen. Very unconvinient and hot to cook there. We were accused from staff and other customer stealing her mobile. Phone was found in her room where she had put it under her blanket. That really upset us. Owners were nice thou and apologize us.

"Jay being very hospitable!!!! If you are looking for a comfortable place to stay with no frills this is the place!! Very clean. Beach and bar at the end of the street."

"If you are more a visitor then a tourist, if you like exploring and going further when comfortable tourism ends, this place is for you. The authenticity, genuine friendliness and welcoming hearts of the people of the community made this stay incredibly unique and one of the best experiences of my life. When staying here one can get closer to locals, animals, cultural sights, traditions, local way of life, nature and the PNG culture in general then in any other accommodation. The PNGFE made my stay very comfortable and made me experience local life and the raw nature of PNG!!"
