"The Inn is right in the middle of old town Nizwa, close to the fort. Rooms are idilic, very nice, there's AC and a fan, bathrooms could use an upgrade (as per other reviews). Personal was nice, we paid 7 OMR for breakfast (it was good, there are options, but as an Arab country, there is less meat. Next to the Inn they provide parking and if it is crowded, they help with valet parking as well. They have complementary dates and Arab coffee at check in, they have concierge as well. It was really quiet even though we had windows to the parking lot and close to the street (which gets crowded by night)."

Room D5 has the bed made up of 2 single mattresses and the one on the right side should be replaced (is not comfortable). The flooding in the bathroom after using the shower or longer usage of the sink.

"Really good central location but quiet at night. Rooms are good with all necessary amenities. Great views from the top floor. The staff is extremely helpful and kind. They kept our bags when we went up to Sarangkot for a couple of days. Highly recommend."

"Incredible staff, accommodated a late check-in and arranged airport pickup. Although no frills and simple, that is by no means a negative. The perfect location made me feel like a local. Views of the port from the terrace and right across the street from the bus station. Walking distance to shops and places to eat. Will stay again."

"Breakfast and supper were great, and plentiful. Rum punches good. The location was great, surrounded by nature. ( occasional traffic noise). Listened to birds by day, and crickets, frogs , lizards? by night. Staff were informative and friendly. Overall , relaxing place. Need to have a car, otherwise taxi's are expensive, local bus an option, when you can get them. Get to meet other tourists there as well with the communal dining."

The mosquito nets have holes in them. (Cabin 6).

Great location, near the restaurants and bars but far enough away to eacape the noise from the nightclubs. Dont expect a branded, glitzy hotel. Its simple and rustic with a touch of faded colonial grandeur."

As it was late in the season, we were the only guests. Sandra was very helpful and set our breakfast out for us before she had to go out to work. The breakfast was rather unappetising with cheap sliced bread & ham, plentiful, but unappealing.

As in a lot of places the wifi sometimes doesn't work but that is not specifically for this place though. I blame Africell 😊

"Amazing location! As soon as you step out of the cabaña you are literally in the red desert. Very friendly and helpful staff. Brayam (the host) was willing to help with everything and adjusted all communication and explanations to the level of basic Spanish we spoke."

A mosquito net should be added to the room. We had our own so were not bothered, but you do need one. While the host was extremely helpful, he asked for tip when dropping us in Villavieja at the end of our stay. While he is of course free to ask, we already ate twice at the hostel restaurant and booked transport to the gray desert with him. All in, we already spend quite some pesos (and still happy with that), but it just felt a bit off to then ask for even more.
