"The place has a "home atmosphere" without making you feel that you are "intruding," that is, they are still professional about it. Friendly and engaging staff. Cooking was possible in the kitchen/common area downstairs. I was able to store my bicycle safely indoors."

No curtains on the top bunk bed.

"Everything was superb! From check-in to check-out and all the inbetweens were remarkable. Service was impeccable. They would even go out of their way to provide whatever is needed. Bed and sheets were so clean and comfortable. Room was tidy and well ventilated. Location is great as well, very close to where we wanted to go. We could pretty much walk to the places we wanted to visit, close enough also to the nearest subway/bus stop."

We checked out the bar on our first night however it was not open. I was hoping to get a few drinks there since it has some good outdoor seating on the 17th floor.

"A beautifully-decorated and very comfortable room. Everything was very clean and we had everything we needed! It's a short walk down to the coast, where you can walk along the seafront into the city. There's a wonderful café next door, which opens in the afternoon for great coffee. There's no breakfast, but the lady who welcomed us suggested some great breakfast places nearby."

"Everything. Douglas, his son Devon and the team are some of the most interesting, kind, caring and thoughtful, people we’ve ever met. Words fail us for their hospitality. The Cottage, food and rooms are fantastic. We stayed 3 days. A month wouldn’t have been enough. We wish them all the very best for the future. If we ever come back to Taiwan we will definitely come back to Aquamarine Cottage."

"Good location close to Taichung train station. Bus stop right in front of the Hotel. We had a quiet room on the 12th floor. Japanese toilet was fun."

"Wonderful place for a high level family get away. Good restaurant options and kids areas and play options are excellent! The rooms are beautiful and spacious with soft beds and pillows.- one of the best beds in Taiwan of the 30+ I've stayed at. The sound proofing is also excellent so the rooms are all quiet. The pool area is beautiful and has an area catering to children and adults alike. The Chinese restaurant is very good as is the Lobby lounge restaurant which has excellent food options like the T bone steak and the cheese burger. If you love golf the full course is good and well kept, but must be booked in advance due to the high demand."

The reception as you arrive in your car, the staff needs more training as they seem like they don't know what to do to unload your luggage and baby items etc. and they don't speak English. -The guy and girl helping me took 1 bag out of the car of the 10 I had and then closed the car doors... The reception desk the staff are well informed polite and speak English. Also the hotel is in the middle of nowhere so keep that in mind to book the restaurants early as they fill out as they are very good.

"The bed was very comfortable, and the shower was amazing. I appreciated having all the light switches labeled, it was very helpful. It was also so nice to have the breakfast included, as well as the late dinner snacks."
