"We were originally looking for a place to stay in Chishang, but everything there was fully booked because of a big local event. Luckily, we found this Airbnb nearby — and it turned out to be way beyond our expectations! The area sits along the beautiful Taitung Longitudinal Valley. While Chishang is the most famous town, Gaoliao offers the same stunning scenery but with fewer crowds. Route 193, which connects these small towns, is one of the most beautiful drives in Taiwan. This Airbnb is truly a hidden gem — clean, cozy, and full of a warm, family vibe. The hosts are super friendly and welcoming. We had such a lovely stay. Highly recommend, and thank you again!"

"We stayed for two nights and had a delightful experience. While there is no playground for kids, there were plenty of toys downstairs to keep our children entertained. The owner was very accommodating and even provided a small trampoline bed for our one-and-a-half-year-old, which to my surprise, our toddler slept in better than our crib at home! The rooms are spacious, and the quiet surroundings ensured we slept very well. The breakfast exceeded my expectations, and the owner even served espresso with it. One suggestion for an even better experience would be to provide a remote for the AC downstairs, so guests don’t need to disturb the owners at night when dining on the first floor."

"Very basic but good value for money since it targets hikers. We arrived at night and stayed only to sleep since we will to hike Jiaming Lake the next morning. So this review considers this contexts. The homestay will provide basic bed, shared toilet on each floor, and on ground floor a shared fridge, hot water, and coffee/tea bags. I would suggest to change to a better towels, since the one privided does not absorb water well. Please be aware that there is a note about limited time to use hot water during winter (this does not apply to our visit since we stayed in summer). Location is fantastic, it is located less than five minutes away from Chishang station. Just a cross the road is PX Mart and Family Mart, where we had dinner and breakfast). I just wanted to leave a thank you note to the lady owner since she borrowed me her personal hiking stick free of charge, since I left mine."

Could have better towels.

"I can't believe how wonderful the hospitality of the Taiwanese. The location was the street right outside the station! The owner was so kind, welcoming , helpful and wonderful to meet and chat to. Language is never a barrier as actions speak louder than words. Can't say better things about my stay there."
