"We had a great and comfortable experience!! Very convenient for our stay— super comfy bed, nice living room area, convenient mini kitchenette (microwave, kettle, fridge, coffee maker and tea supplies). The location was very quiet and easy to get around."

"The room was very comfortable, with detailed information provided about the various facilities of the house as well as the surrounding area, including supermarkets, gas stations, and more. The room also offered a small welcome gift, which felt very thoughtful. If I come again in the future, I would definitely consider staying here again."

"A great, large, peaceful basement with all the amenities you could hope for! The host had really thought about the comfort of the guests and provided among other things a TV with HDMI cable (we connected our laptop to watch a series we had downloaded prior to the trip), capsule coffee maker etc. This accomodation would serve well as a homebase for a larger vacation in the area, althought we stayed only one night."

"This was our favourite place in Iceland. It was cute, quirky, full of little surprises and luxury unexpecteds like the wonderful herbal tea selection, quality amenities, layout was great, everything we needed was carefully thought out. THe compendium was extensive with all the information we could possibly need. Yes,it's not exactly central but there are three free bus services in the area which our host set out in the information folder. In fact we wished we had more time in Akureyri as there was no much potentially to do, but we only had the one day and I was not well. Bed was very comfortable as was the whole adorable little unit."

Being the first time in the city, Basement Hideaway is like a treasure trove of information. Really, the owner probably couldn't do more for the comfort of the overnight guests. "El lugar está muy bien, cómodo y bastante amplio para un sótano. Para nosotros por una noche estuvo perfecto y la zona es muy tranquila, pero creo para estadías más larga se complica el no contar con cocina completa. Igualmente tiene horno eléctrico, microondas . heladera y cafetera. Muy atento nos dejaron un souvenir de Islandia y unos chocolates para el café!!. ¡El lugar es muy bello rodeado de unas hermosas montañas! gracias!!!!!!!!"
