It presents free use of an outdoor wooden hot tub and arranges Icelandic horse riding tours on site. Quality beds, along with a TV, desk and seating area are provided in all Hótel Eldhestar quarters. Décor is inspired from Iceland’s nature. Each room has a private entrance with direct access to the surrounding fields. "The hotel was very clean. The staff was kind, professional, and went out of their way to accommodate us. The included breakfast was above average quality with a nice variety of options. The restaurant was very high quality! The geothermal hot tub is lovely and offers a good view. The location was very easy to get to, quiet, and very close to the geothermal river and shopping facilities if needed. We liked it so much that we booked a stay on our drive east and again on our way back towards the airport."
"My only complaint is that we heard a fairly young waitress making snarky comments from the kitchen about some of the diners. If you like to stay up late to have drinks, the bar is not open very late."
"We needed a third bed. It was lower than the other two twin beds, but perfectly comfortable and the room was very cozy. Window and door operation to the outside were very smooth and airtight."
