"We loved loved loved the spa in the basement. Wish we had to use the sauna sooner. Great perk."

"We did not have hot water the first night. The second day it came, but it was always either very hot or very cold."

"Nice staff, good food at the hotel restaurant and the location is convenient enough as long as you don't mind using public transport (it''s a short bus trip into central Reykjavik)."

"Breakfast was nice but a little pricey"

"The breakfast was convenient but it would have been nice if it was included in the price of the room. Additionally, for rooms with balcony access, it would be good to have some furniture out on the balcony so you can sit out at night watching for the northern lights"

"Aucun."

"My room was clean and attractively decorated. The balcony and windows gave an opportunity to see the aurora borealis although it was cloudy during my stay. Staff are friendly and helpful. My spa treatment with Monica was amazing. She really did an excellent job of helping me relax and was informative while also leaving some quiet time during the session."

"It is about a 20 minute walk to downtown Reykjavík and public street parking was not super easy."

"Taxis were readily available and the press of the button. Clean facilities and wonderful staff."

"A little far from activities and taxis are a little expensive. We knew this going in, but definitely noticed it during a rainy evening."

"Hotel was clean and comfortable. Staff was pleasant and helpful. We only stayed I night and left early in the morning. Didn't frequent the bar, restaurant or spa services but would consider on a future visit. I thought that parking would be an issue but was fine."

"Clean hotel, good breakfast. We booked twin room which was comfortable enough for 4 people. Bathroom was large and very clean as well. Free street parking"

"Distance from city center is 2.5km, so we had to drive into town."

Donald - 27/05/2025 20:21:36

"Our room was beautiful, overlooking the mountains, sea! Spa was great, traditional sauna was very nice! People at the front desk were helpful, friendly. The price was reasonable. This was our 2nd time staying here, and we enjoyed it as much or more than the first time! The coffee shop behind the hotel was awesome, delicious oreo frappaccino type blended drink (Kaffee Tee?)."

"It would have been nice if the spa was open later at night and earlier in the morning, so we could have used it every day! Our room didn't have a single chair which was kind of strange. It had a couch, but when we had visitors, we all had to sit on the couch. Ice was hard to come by (athough we did work out a system where we were able to get it from the breakfast people). It would be nice if they had more of a store onsite."

"Attended the Saturday buffet brunch. Excellent choices"

"Wonderful breakfast and nice staff. Pítan across the street is great for takeaway food too."

Avis de Harris Hotel Orkin

"We loved this place. Our room was at the back of the hotel and very quiet-although there isn't any real traffic or noise. Food was excellent. We had dinner and breakfast there."

Avis de Nadine Hotel Varmahlíd

"Great option to stay in Iceland. Great location near downtown, beautiful rooms and friendly staff"

"The room was very nice and we liked the view of the river. Excellent shower! Loved the breakfast."

Avis de William Hotel Selfoss

"Great location, close enough to walk into centre of town to explore, lovely hosts and they made a lovely breakfast each morning. Everywhere was kept warm and toasty, great big shared bathroom downstairs and an extra kettle to make hot drinks! Would definitely stay again when visiting!"

Avis de Jeni Alba Guesthouse

"nice dinner at the restaurant. Good tips on what to do in the area. We got a free upgrade"

"The outside looks like a functional hotel but nicely decorated on the inside. We had dinner and food was great as was the service. Loved the wake up service to see the Northern lights which we were lucky enough to see just outside the hotel. Breakfast was excellent, shame we couldn't take time to enjoy it more as we had to leave early. The room itself was warm, small but functional (no fridge though) and the bathroom had heated floors which was a lovely treat. Bed was comfortable."

Avis de Salina Hotel Klaustur

"I really enjoyed talking to the front desk people- Tina was very helpful and they were very kind about trying to get me in early since I was tired. They were able to show me places to go while I waited. I visited some great points of interest on her recommendation. Tina kept encouraging me to stay up for the northern lights even though I was so tired and I’m so glad I did! It was an amazing show!"
