"The room was very nice and we liked the view of the river. Excellent shower! Loved the breakfast."
"Not really a serious problem at all but would like to offer constructive criticism: instead of staff using the very public glass elevators, have them use the other elevator to move cleaning equipment. The glass elevators are so nice!"
"Clean, conveniently located hotel with a lovely restaurant and impressively hard- working staff."

"Good location in Selfoss with access to area of shops and restaurants and really nice (and long) walking path. Supermarket nearby. Spa massage was amazing. $25/day spa fee is high but worth it once to soak in the thermal tub and sit in the sauna. Nice breakfast. The hotel will help you get a taxi from/to the airport. A great start to my Iceland trip."

"Gorgeous room, with easy access to both the town of Selfoss and close to the Golden Circle."
"No complaints!"
"The location is perfect in my opinion. Beautiful views from my room. Close to grocery store, great restaurants, and different activities I wanted to do while in Iceland. Staff is always kind and breakfast is great. This is where I always stay while visiting. Selfoss feels like home."

"Great location, close enough to walk into centre of town to explore, lovely hosts and they made a lovely breakfast each morning. Everywhere was kept warm and toasty, great big shared bathroom downstairs and an extra kettle to make hot drinks! Would definitely stay again when visiting!"

"The outside looks like a functional hotel but nicely decorated on the inside. We had dinner and food was great as was the service. Loved the wake up service to see the Northern lights which we were lucky enough to see just outside the hotel. Breakfast was excellent, shame we couldn't take time to enjoy it more as we had to leave early. The room itself was warm, small but functional (no fridge though) and the bathroom had heated floors which was a lovely treat. Bed was comfortable."

"I really enjoyed talking to the front desk people- Tina was very helpful and they were very kind about trying to get me in early since I was tired. They were able to show me places to go while I waited. I visited some great points of interest on her recommendation. Tina kept encouraging me to stay up for the northern lights even though I was so tired and I’m so glad I did! It was an amazing show!"

"Hotel Edda Akureyri is a dormitory with shared bathroom and showers. The rooms are small but comfortable. When you just need a place to sleep and don't plan on staying in your room, it is great. It is priced accordingly. The hotel is next to the municipal swimming pool and a short walk to the center of town. Great parking."

"The hotel is based on a family farm that has been owned by several generations of the current owners. It was very interesting to read the historical documents and look at the photographs in the corridors. Very tasty breakfast and lots of space."
