"We reserve on the same day to stay and it was snowed during the day after we arrived a person came to do the snow removal with a big machine. We did not get the chance to use the hot tub."

"Very well appointed cabin that is quite isolated for beautiful night time sky viewing! Excellent hot pot, bbq. Sitting area. All very new and comfortable. Even though it is remote, it's still close enough to Húsavík and Akureryi for day trips. Excellent place for nature.. I took the picture in my review lying in the bed! Excellent floor to ceiling windows. I would ask for cabin #1 so you aren't looking out over the other cabins."

"It was perfect for myself, a solo traveler. I would not want to have more than one couple, or possibly two adults and one kid. I loved the size, this is just a caution if you're a larger group, get multiple cabins."

"We had a wonderful time and experience spending at Svartaborg's cabin. We wish we could stay here a bit longer. It is really easy to checkin and get to the location. We booked 3 cabins. They arranged us stayed closed to each other which is really thoughtful. The cabin kitchen is with everything you need even with a oven. It makes us much easier to cook dinner and breakfast for six of us. The location is perfect. It only takes 30-40mins drive to Húsavík and Mývatn. The cozy cabin with separated bedroom and living room makes us just wanna stay home and enjoy the moments. We arrived at night time, it took us a little time to be able to see the door number but we understand this is to keep the light down to respect the environment. Definitely recommend you stay with Svartaborg :)"

"In our 9 day trip to Iceland, this was the best place we stayed. The location is remote, set on the western hillside of an expansive valley about 20 minutes south of Husavik and 45 minutes NE of Akureyri. We stayed here for two night. Was the perfect location to see the Northern Lights. We watched them for about an hour and got amazing pics. Very spacious living room and kitchen area. Full kitchen with pots, pans, dishes, dishwasher, fridge, etc. There is a geothermal hot tub that is easy to operate, although it smelled a little like sulfur. I would stay here again in a heartbeat."
