It is 30 minutes on a very bumpy road from the gate to the national park and we were the only people to pass through each day. This end of the park is forest and scrub so very difficult to see game. There are not many roads in the park and almost no signage.

"Ingrid always prepared delicious breakfasts. I was there for 9 days and loved the variety. I also appreciated and enjoyed the extras of fresh bottled fruit juices, the chance to experience a meal of oil down, the national dish, and a barbecue prepared fresh1 The pool is wonderful.It was also fun to be invited to add some art to the walls of the dining area!!"

Perhaps in the rooms with windows facing the afternoon sun there could be a roll down blind as it got quite hot in the room despite the fan.

"It was the perfect little nook in the forest! It was warm, cozy and had the basic stuff I needed. There are really smart things inside the house, my personal favorite is the build in drying rack above the heater and also the ceiling warmer in the toilet haha Forest, birds, fresh air, skiing what else do you need? But I also loved the playgrounds and benches on the property, felt like I’m at summer camp with family and friends ☺️"

One tiny confusion of mine was that on booking it said ski in and ski out but it wasn’t like that. But it’s spring so probably that’s why. If you come around this time be prepared to walk. Which is a really nice walk tho.

The entrance has a terrible road that if you don’t have a 4x4 is difficult to Access but the hotel has a Taxy that can pick you and drop you off.

"The hosts Lilly and Simon are the most wonderful people ever. Kind souls that can make your stay here in Fiji a truly one of a kind experience. Staying at the salt lake lodge didn't feel like a hotel or resort, but instead felt like you got to experience how it would feel to live in a Fijian family. Not only were the people great but the food was extraordinary. They both could be in a Michelin star restaurant with the food they provided. We would also recommend doin LOVO with them, which is a traditional grill on an campfire of which I shared photos of. The location itself for us was also a 10/10 because we love being surrounded in nature, and what ever window you looked out from was the beautiful environment, even from the shower you could see the river. We could not recommend this place more if we wanted to. I hope your experience will be as beautiful as ours"

The only problem we encountered was that the AC in our room was directly pointed at the head of the bed. And it's lower functions for us were still quite cold.

Staff does not answer messages on WhatsApp ( as they said they do) so you need to go to the reception desk. Property is not as big as it seems in the advertising. But decks and cooking areas for the rooms are really spacious.

"Wow! What a gem of a stay! Lovely rooms at a value price. Food and alcohol sold. Plenty toilets and showers. An amazing waterfall next door, which you pass driving in and out of the property. And a 45ºC hot pool. Yes, there is a hot spring pool included that overlooks everthing!!!"

Tough to get to with small car through long gravel road.

You really need a car to get around. Not the property's fault as there is no public transportation and taxis are extortionately expensive (return trip to Cayenne and back €75)

"The staff is so friendly! Was really a lovely experience. We only stayed one night to extend on the island , but It was one of our favourite experiences with the owners. Their kindness is so refreshing. The bungalows are basic, the bed is so comfy. It really gives you jungle beach vibes. Also try their coffee, best cappuccino ever. Double shot and the froth is on point. We even ran into the owners in Ranong coming off the slow ferry and they offered us a ride to our hostel. It really just made us so happy! I wish them all the luck with this new project of theirs. They have only really been actively open a total of 5 months!"

A little further from the beach but if you ride a scooter you are fine. 16 minute walk to one beach and the rest are about 40-45 minutes in each direction walking! Food not too far!

They all knew our names, asked us if we needed anything every time we saw them, and were always willing to go above and beyond. -Hiking trails: such great views and fun exploration (they have complimentary bug oil everywhere, definitely use it before hitting the trails!). -Food: Everything we had was excellent, especially Slate on Saturdays/Wednesdays. -Room: This was the first stay in Belize we had with really hot water and water pressure, the water was drinkable, and the fireplace with complimentary wood was so nice."

The road in and out can be a little rough after raining since it's all red clay. We got stuck while leaving after check out but they had a tractor there and pulled us out within minutes of calling, then followed us out with the tractor just in case.

"An amazing location. Friendly, helpful staff and tasty home cooked Moroccan food. It was a perfect place to relax at the end of a holiday touring around Morocco. It's also only half an hour from Agadir airport, so easy to travel to and from. I will definitely return next time I travel to Morocco."

Lacking hot water in bathroom & kitchen sinks, no dish soap to wash our dishes.

"The location is fantastic - right on the beach. The accommodation had all the basic amenities. Felt safe with good security. We were able to meet our basic daily food needs such as bread (pao), fish and prawns through local traders visiting the lodge. Staff were always polite and friendly."

No internet connection because of a cyclone a few weeks earlier. Had to buy our own airtime. A portable fan in the living room would be great.

"Exceptional environment, well-kept, among the trees, calm, peaceful. The cottages are built in such a way that they have a pleasant temperature without air conditioning or fans. At night, for the first time in Gambia, I had to cover myself with a duvet. The owner and staff were extremely kind, accommodating, unobtrusive."

"I had a great stay. Wandered around and enjoyed the island life. Took a night walk with the hosts who were very friendly and attentive. They picked me up and returned me to the ferry. I was able to use one of their snorkels and mask. The shower was excellent and bed was very comfortable. I had a great stay. Thank you!"

There was construction going on all through the day and doors slamming early in the morning. The construction crew were loud and abrasive. The door slamming has to do with the way the door lock mechanism is set up. The ferry brought me to island very early and wasn't able to check into my room until much later.

"It is a big camping site. Clean and beautiful chalets, good activities to do around. Staff and emergency number were prompt and helpful."

Heating water in shower/kitchen issue was there, delayed our departure. Salt and pepper were not there, more coffee/tea/sugar etc would be better.

The rooms were a little small. But that’s to be expected in this type of an accommodation.
