"Dar Al Salam Hostel is a charming and exceptionally clean place to stay. I was particularly impressed with its convenient location, situated in a peaceful and quiet area, which made it perfect for relaxation. maybe a nice sign or where to turn before the dirt road street would be nice to know , in case people ever feel lost or even at night when its hard to see.

"This trip was planned as-hoc and we didn’t have very high expectations, however Hyena lodge was above and beyond. Absolutely stunning views, clean (clean clean) accommodation, bathrooms and overall territory. The beds were comfortable with beautifully designed blankets and pillows. Each balcony had a nice bench to sit on and jointly amazing views of Lake Mburo. Also we had game drive and had a chance to walk very closely to several giraffes and kids throughly enjoyed it. Overall very memorable stay! Highly recommend!"

We could have fit in the twin room easily with our two teenagers, but unfortunately the booking doesn’t show that option for families. The room is double the size of the standard room with two queen size beds. Actually we all stayed together first night and it was spacious enough. Hence would be good to list this room for four people as well.

Room was exceptionally warm and hard to moderate the temperature. We eventually asked for the floor heating to be turned off completely and then opened all the windows and doors for over an hour to bring the temperature back down to a suitable value.

"A wonderful small house in a quiete place. Not a big one but equipped very well with all necessary kitchen appliances including a dishwasher. There is also a nice terrace outside with a barbeque place. Everything was very clean, the house is very cozy"

Zimmer und Spielplatz sehr veraltet Dusche Renovierungsbedürftig leider keine Kochmöglichkeit die Sitzgelegenheiten vor dem Zimmer den ganzen Tag im Schatten es gibt Ruhe Zeiten

You really need a car to get around. Not the property's fault as there is no public transportation and taxis are extortionately expensive (return trip to Cayenne and back €75)

"Sleeping on the water, very good energy & vibe, colorful, very homy, clean and nice food."

Close to the main road but not much traffic at nigh + need to walk to the a little to shower & toilets.

"Friendly staff with breakfast in the morning. I enjoyed relaxing on the front porch with beautiful garden scenery surrounding. It was a simple rustic bungalow."

Sometimes the water didn’t work. There were large black wasps making a nest in the washroom.

The only small downside were the pillows, which were a bit higher than we’re used to, but it didn’t take away from an otherwise fantastic experience.
